Can someone get busted by using the hotel internet?
Im comped at blankety-blank strip hotel right now and can the casino trace my personal usage to find out ive been on this site?
The parameters are its a large hotel and i have to give my room num and pay ten bucks or so to be connected for 24 hours.

How do know Ken isn't selling IPs to casinos or that ZG hasn't set up a honeytrap? Perhaps the mods are working out of Harrahs corp. headquarters.

If you're paranoid use a VPN. Lots of hotel guests use a VPN to get to their work network so it won't look out of the ordinary.

Alternative to hotel internet

If you have a smart phone with a data plan, another option is PDA Net, a software program that lets you use your phone as a modem for your laptop. There's a free trial, and registration for full unlimited use costs about what most hotels charge for a day or two of internet access. I had it on a Blackberry, and it was kind of slow; I now have it on an Android 2 and it is lighting fast. The web site is http://www.junefabrics.com. I'm not affiliated with the company; just passing along info I found useful.
