I recently went on a 3 day BJ sojourn and I thought I would relay some interesting events from the days and nights on the hallowed BJ felt.
As usual I stuck to only playing very fine games, so very fine......I was using my Hi-LO-LO and it was working so well that I was predicting nearly every BJ coming out, problem was most often the 3 other players were getting them until it was just me and 2 other players, in that time it swung my way with a vengeance and I managed to draw considerable heat for my play to the point of backing down my performance for fear of getting a boot, which I have no interest in receiving. While playing in this long session it became apparent that the young gent who had joined the table, almost acting like he would own it, was a straight counter, but using no indice plays, proper insurance calls, or using other options at his disposal. I did not dislike this counter, but I did not respect him, so I decided to rattle his cage by going down and dirty in my play, which indeed caused him great consternation, he lost all his money and had to buy back in a few times, all while I was winning, I am sure he thought at his expense, and maybe so.
On this trip I would indeed have bad intentions. The time came to move on to other casino's, so after a comped dinner, it was farewell, until another day.
Arriving at another casino I checked into my comped room, and hit the tables, they were busy and the game was a good as can be found, so I settled in for another long session, netting me a small win and then off to bed, nothing exceptional this evening. My sleep was decent but not great, and at my age sleep is very important if I am to perform as a Deadly Predator.
The next morning, up at 9.30, go down to a comped breakfast, back to the room for my rituals, then down to play but not before setting up an exclusive radio interview on a local station of a well known BJ AP who will be in town in the near future. As I wandered the floor I spotted a table that suited my fancy, I noted a very large bettor playing 2 spots, I joined the table at the shuffle. This whale was betting table max on 2 spots constantly, up at one time $11,000 was now on a downward spiral,,,this poor soul was not even close to a basic strategy player. It was sad to see him burn through this cash and begin to pull all kinds of money from his pocket, over and over again and then go to the ATM for more cash, this went on for 4 hours, all the while smoking one after the other and his hands, shaking now, shaking, this young man, in his early 30's, was busy wiping himself out. The trips to the ATM became longer as he was probably having problems getting more cash, then writting checks at the cage,,,I began to feel very bad for him,,,,but I always knew what the final outcome would be, and indeed it came, he was broke, and with great sadness and resignation, he departed the table and out the door, to only who knows what, but you can be sure that it was into a state of great regret and remorse over his debacle and his destruction at a game he really knew not how to play, I took no joy in seeing this, but I did study him closely, that drama unfolding before my eyes,,saddness.
It was time now for dinner, a very nice comped private affair, after which it was again back to a long night of BJ. Early in the evening I was at 3rd base at a fine game and I hit my 13 against a 3, it was called for, I pulled a ten which would have caused the dealer to bust and of course the big mouth at first blurted out that 3 rd base caused the table to lose and that I was a dumb ass who didn't know **** about BJ......well that did it,,,,I went off on the guy in a big way until he denied calling me a name and backed off,,,the table was frozen at my angry response and no one said a word for some time.
I wish it had never happened but that is how I respond and some day it will get much uglier, I know.
Later that evening, as I sat at another exceptional table with a very fine dealer, no personality, but a fine dealer, it became just me and another player, ideal,,,,when out of the blue another player plunks down right next to me,,,I look,,,look again,,,,can this be,,,,,hell ya,,,,holy ****. The player who just sat down next to me and threw cash on the table was and still is the Gaming Mgr. of a large casino where I used to play at many years earlier. The same man who had me flyered all over the region and on one occasion exchanged harsh words with me over my play and cut off my RFB abruptly. With all that being said I can't really say I disliked him, but I can't say I harbored warm feeling either,,,but one thing for sure, I was now going to step my game way up with him at this table and make him look like an ass. Now,,, did he recognize me after over a decade,??? maybe he did, maybe he spotted me and wanted to show me up with his play,,,maybe, maybe not,,but now the Panther was awaken with a fury, ready to sink in the fangs and rip and tear, and so now off we go, I not letting on I know him, he not looking at me, that I could tell, I had inched my chair over a distance, and the play began, I pulled all the tricks from my arsenal and I was incensed and keenly alert, I moved fast up and down with the count, indice plays fast and furious, one to two, to one and back, spreading, insurance right on, attacking and winning, so many wins that I was just ripping the chips off the table, not stacking just raking them in, finally when the dust settled he had lost his buy in and with a look of anger and disgust wheeled around and stalked off, beaten by the depraved and enraged Panther. It was show time and I did put on a show, just for him.
