In April, The Tropicana lost $1,862,827 on a drop of $20,953,841

All due to one lucky player.

An awe-inspiring LOSS of 8.9%

Other interesting April Hijinks in A.C.:

Resorts, amazingly, LOST a colossal 9.8% of the drop at their CRAPS tables. YES, they LOST $288,000 on a drop of $2,937,000. HOLY BOVINE !

The Craps tables at Trump Marina held just 2.0% — earning just $46,236 for the month, while their BJ tables held a sky-high 26.2% !

Overall, Trump Marina fared the worst in April, earning 2.4 million from the tables and 8.5 million from the machines.

Trump Marina remained the biggest underachiever grossing just $10,931,000 for the month; barely edged out by Trump Plaza and resorts.

Harrahs "held" just 8.3%, 8.1%, and 8.9% on their BlackJack, Craps, and Mini-Baccarat tables.

Adding insult to injury, Resorts managed to earn all of 0.30% at Let it Ride — a total of $1,288 !

Last fall, Tropicana's max limit for the $25 blackjack tables was $25,000 while the $100 tables max limit was $50,000. That guy must of had a heck of a winning streak and letting it ride up to the $50,000 max. I'm surprised I haven't heard more of this win in mainstream media and of how he did it.

Lol, you comment to say no comment. Probably would have been easier not to write a response in the first place

I like the interview with the Manager. He got fired after someone got lucky. Shows how intelligent casinos are. Introduce high limits where peopel will bet huge amounts of money at a disadvantage, have someone run like a god and you get fired. Definitely no results based thinking there......

The whale might not have just gotten lucky. Trop table games is as pell-mell as any joint I have seen.

I could be wrong but I highly doubt he was doing anythign other than flatbetting. If anyone ever won over 7 figures in a sitting while changing their bets i'm pretty sure they would be flatbet well before they could reach 6 mil in AC.

I recently watched a whale betting all over the place. 3x100 to 1x1000 to 2x5000. I watched him for a while trying to see if he was an AP. Alas, he was not. The pit was watching every move while I was there. To either figure out if he was truly a whale or if he was cheating or APing. The next time when I saw One of the dealers from that night, I asked about that whale. He claims he walked out with $50k that night.

There is also the famous Tommy hyland story in AC in which no casino personnel could figure out how he was winning for 6 Months.

One of the trips I took to LV there was a craps whale who wanted to play by himself at a table. When he showed up the table limits became ridiculous. The table cleared out immediately and if anyone stayed the pit would try to politely encourage them to leave. He only played grey and kept a supply of purple to tip with which he did quite often. My dad had lost his dice control and wasnt throwing until he got it back because he always bet more on himself and it was costing him money. When the pit reluctantly tried to encourage his usual whale status to move now that he was a minnow comparatively speaking, the whale told them he could stay because the whale just didnt want other people to throw the dice.

After a while he asked why I wasnt playing with my dad and I told him the limits were to high but if they werent I wouldnt throw the dice(I was actually really hot at the time but this guy really seemed to be throwing sixes and eights while avoiding the seven. Quickly the min bet was totally removed at the whales request and I could bet a small as I wanted even smaller than their smallest table limit I had seen. When he would leave the table crew would argue about who drove him away.

A guy we gambled with in AC always had a reserved table. He welcomed other known dice controllers and we often played with him. HE would permanent ban anyone who bet the dont or spoke any negative thoughts at the table. I stopped playing with them because after a while I decided they were a bunch of dice control want to bes. They knew the technique but didnt produce results. He made the game structure rules at his table as well.

I bet if the guy who won the 6 million was a big enough whale he would be able to change the upper limit upon request.

They're just poorly dealt and managed. Incompetent dealers and suits, and you look at the suits running around and its almost obvious they don't know what they're supposed to be doing.

That was the place where I was being dealt to be a young girl who was so high she couldn't even keep the cards on the table! It's always been an easy place to beat with dirty (legal) tricks. Probably easier still with the illegal kind. Their baccarat room had a string of monthly losses that seem attributable only to the Trans and other cheat teams.

Got it. Once I was dealt SP21 by a guy who had never dealt it and had no training on it :grin::grin::grin: He was paying 3+ card 21s at 3:2 and letting doubled bets be pulled back but leaving the original bet and cards on the table :laugh::laugh::laugh: The suit tried to help but was overwhelmed with his other tables. Priceless. :cool2:

In that case, you double down every time you want to take a hit.

It's nice to see that the house doesn't win all the time. Didn't the MIT team bankrupt a brand new casino on the first day? That new casino, having never seen them before, must have been thrilled to have high rollers visit on the first day.
