True count betting.

So just have a question here, I was wondering if theirs a standard to follow or if it varies per player for betting increments with the high low true count system. I would like to know if anyone could share details for the true count with a 6 deck game and the multiples per unit it would increase with the true count being 1+ 2+ 3+ 4+ 5+ etc... any additional information would be fantastic.

Thanks!

There is a brief discussion about betting techniques in the sticky thread called An Introduction to Card Counting (Please Read Before Posting New Threads). The Free Counting Resources On Web thread also has some good info, specifically the GameMaster’s Free Counting Course. Most counting systems will have betting advice in their accompanying book, so HiLo would be Professional Blackjack, KO would be Knock Out Blackjack, Zen and Red 7 would be Blackbelt in Blackjack, etc. Schlesinger’s book Blackjack Attack has some more advanced discussions about betting techniques and bet sizing that should be read before you start playing seriously.

Creating a betting strategy will depend on many personal factors. Different people will play the game in different ways and with different goals/expectations. It is always best to invest your money in a way that makes you happy and comfortable instead of following what other people are doing. Their situation may be very different from yours.

You need a computer-generated OPTIMAL Bet Spread.
Every possible rule set and depth of penetration needs to be considered.

If you are a Hi-Lo shoe player, then most of the time you will generally do alright betting the True Count minus ONE (1) times the minimum wager.

This might be OK for a DD, but is far too low for a shoe game. This would be a bet of 4U at +5?

A generic spread might be 1/2/4/8/12.

ahmen Bro.
just me maybe but i like these thoughts.
get the idea of the optimal orthodox stuff and then see how all that fits your needs and dreams. maybe customize your approach to glean as much of the optimal while still being within your comfort zone.
you can likely simulate your customized approach and see how that stacks up against the optimal.

sort of how even pro's i've heard do it when it comes to Kelly Betting, supposedly as the stories go, many pro's will bet a fraction of Kelly as opposed to going the full Monty, sort of thing.
