Unusual casino billboard

A casino is using the following wording on one of their billboards:

"Live vicariously through your other self... your other self thinks he can count cards."

What do you make of that. Its always been my impression that although casinos want the public to think they can beat the game they don't openly acknowledge card counting.
 
:grin: The billboards should probably also mention that your "other self" should know that this casino just installed RFID chip tracking at their blackjack tables.
 
Radio-transmitting chips are embedded in each player chip, allowing electronics underneath the table to track bet sizes.

....allowing electronics underneath the table to supposedly track bet sizes might be a better description.
 
isle of capris all use the chips as well, not sure about LA but the dealers hit a button on the table (incl. isle biloxi last time i was there) before they start dealing and according to a PB they recorded your avg. bet into the computer

My "other self" appreciates the invite, but is busy counting somewhere else in town.

Conditions in southern MS seem to have deteriorated an awful lot recently. It used to be that Biloxi was far better than Tunica, now it's reversed.

Ain't that the freaking truth! :flame:

We actually "played" with the rfid setup... did all kind of strange things to it.. including hitting the button multiple times before a round... it's pretty accurate and hard to fool!

RFID systems have that capability... I'm not sure it's set up that way at the IP, but the capability is there. I've read where they can track the chips all the way through the casino from change to cashier. Each chip has an individual serial number that gets assigned to your players card number. Used to be they couldn't read fast enough for the payouts.. but they can now.

No players card = no track. Some of the stores I've been in lately are going to a kiosk system for comps. You swipe the card for comps. No more pit handouts. I'm sure these are precursors to future rfid systems. No card = no comp and probably, eventually, no cash out.
