Going to Vegas 6/7 havn't gone on weekends in 30 years. Or recently in about a year. Have the following questions.
Where on the Strip can you still find a single deck game?
Would like to use it to build up comps. Or is their a nice clean location off strip you would recommend, I'm staying Palace Station this trip. Not expecting much in the way of the room.

Anyone familiar with the PS how crowded is it on the week-end and what is the best times for wife to play slot and me BJ.?

Do they stil have single deck on the weekend?

After reading "TheBearGrowls's column on Harah's 8 deck game and worst comp plan not going there, anyone got any ideas on a god plan for future trips?
this old man would apreciate any thoughts or tips provided.

I'm not aware of any real SD game on the strip.Downtown at El Cortez,Western and 4 Queens is about it.
Terribles has fairly good DD games at lo stakes. If you are playing at hi-roller stakes, someone else will have to help you,as thats not my style. Some of the MGM properties have fairly good games at the $25 and up level.Wild Wild West( about a half mile west of NYNY) has a nice DD game and it is easy to build comps. Its an old motel but there are plenty of truckers eating and staying there.
Other than that, most places give next to nothing for low level BJ players.

First off there is no real single deck on the strip, only 6/5 stuff. The locals casinos have no single deck either but do have some playable, though not exceptional double deck games and poor shoes overall.
The only 3/2 single deck can be found downtown at a couple of casinos.

I do not know your bet amounts, but the best double deck and shoe games are found on the strip, but the level is too high for some players.
Good shoes start at $10-$15 at Mandalay Bay, MGM and Monte Carlo, but on busy times they tend to raise the limits. On weekends, early in the morning are your best shots, otherwise you may be looking at $25 and higher.

Slots-A-Fun has a double deck game with pretty good rules for $5.
All the better double deck games on the strip are $25 or higher with the Mirage having a good game that can usually be found for $25.

I would suggest ordering a current issue of CBJN from bj21.com right before you leave. It will give you the rules, decks, tables, pen and a bunch of other stuff on every game. The $12 could save you a ton of time.
