Moo, I highly doubt that it was someone on the site. I found that I ran into quite a few counters in vegas. some good, and I wasn't sure if they were counting, but most were very terrible, and obvious, and rude!!!
Just curious, are most APs jerkwads? I like to think that I'm a pretty nice guy until someone pisses me off.

I hate Christmas. For pete's sake, what does it even have to do with Jesus any more? It's basically a day where society guilt trips us into buying **** for our families in the hopes that they'll love and appreciate us. Oh, and it's not even Jesus birthday; they picked the day because there was already a Winter solstice and festival for Mithra.Machinist said:

It'll probably be different when I have kids, though. Probably nice to give them stuff/watch them go apeshit with how excited they are.

Any day you choose to celebrate the birth of Jesus is a good day in my book. I had a great time at Church on Christmas, worshiping God, singing Christmas hymns, being thankful for His generous love for me ....moo321 said:

Where I did find lots of Christmas spirit was at the Christmas Eve party I attended, which by the way, was half Jews. Everyone exchanged "Merry Christmases" and no one was being politically correct. These Jews appreciated the joyousness of the season as reflected in the songs of Christmas, and they were not embarrassed to use Christmas words. One of them said, "We get the best of both worlds, Hanukkah and Christmas," referring to their parents mixed marriage.
As a Christian, I think it's up to me to be responsible for how my Christmas is. If I left it up to the commercial and nominally-Christian world, it would be a real bummer. And I'm glad they changed the meaning of the former holiday to be one with meaning for me, although I think that too many are still celebrating the pagan holiday even though the name's been changed. IMO, that's their loss.
WOW!!!!! Now that to me is shockingly funny...:laugh::laugh: I have the same type of feelings about christmas...my wife too... We gave up on the whole gifting..family get together crap, many many years ago. It's just horrible what people go through...moo321 said:

Yea I always thought the christmas season was definitely for kids........and there are alot of grownups that havent made the transition to adulthood.
Yep , Moo i have seen having kids "change" many of my friends over the years.. It will happen to you too..... I'm sure it will be a good thing ...
My favorite time of the year is a good thanksgiving feast with family and friends.....No gifts, bad feelings, just good times , good food , with good friends and family.
The wife and i went for a nice leisurely drive cross country, for about 4 hrs looking at and for farm land... Kinda getting attached to south Ga.

Ask me what I got my wife for Christmas. Nada. lol It is a dumb thing, and she and I both agree. She can have anything she wants all year round; same here; but why buy stuff you don't need? Buy it when you need it or when it's cheapest, which certainly isn't Christmas.Machinist said:

If you love someone, they know where your heart is. No need for all this gift giving. Surprises in the middle of the year are more fun anyway, and half the pleasure is that they are unexpected.
If my wife says, why don't you run up to AC or out to Vegas for a couple of weeks, now that's a gift! Giving really isn't hard with people you love. But please, I don't like doing anything that is expected of me simply because everyone else is doing it. :eyepatch:
