Venetian

I am planning to visit Venetian in Las Vegas. Currently, I don't have a player's card there. Just wondering if it's better to get a player's card directly from the players club when I go there, or to get the player's card from the pit when I sit down to play? Which way would get better comps, do you think?

For comp purposes it doesn't matter. I never give the pit my ID. You never know what they do with it, in terms of scanning, copying, etc. When given to a booth babe, it's always within your sight.

It may have changed recently, but in May if you joined at the club booth you got $15 in free slot play and they gave another $10 in freeplay for your email address.

Sign up via this link before you go there:

(Dead link: https://secure.venetian.com/APPS/VPC/vpc_becoming.cfm)

Take a printout of the confirmation and take it to the sign up booth. They will load your card with $15 free slotplay.

Also, if you get American Casino Guide 2010, there should be a coupon for $25 for Grazie sign up free play bonus. They should be stackable, hence giving you $40. ACG book costs around $13 at Amazon, but there are many other match bets and free plays so it'll pay for itself.

If you don't like risk, play the $40 through one of those crappy blackjack slots and it should return around $37-$38.

Good luck.

you get the same deal at the booth without the printout, I'm not sure why, but you do.
I have two extra ACG coupon. If anyone wants them just PM your address and I'll mail them to you.

Well, this is cool. It appears that you get to decide how to spell your name.

They still ask for ID at the club signup
Yes, but the point being is that you see what they are doing with your ID. Hand it over to the floor and who knows what they are doing with it.
