West Virginia Rules?

#21
I talked to an ambassador tonight at Mountaineer on the phone. They said the minimum bet is $10 dollars, but is normally raised to $15 depending on ow crowded it is. He said it is also dropped to $5 dollars at night if it is less busy. I'm very surprised they don't have a $5 dollar table all the time. I may have to think twice about playing here.

No six deckers? I thought there might actually be a new place to play near here, but I guessed wrong.
We still need to know rules, pen, sidebets, promotions, and the intangibles of what-you-can-get-away-with before you can say that.

Mountaineer same as Sececa Falls?

I was under the impression both new casino's used CSM's. I'll play the 8D shoe game if they also have S17. My buddy and I may just take a ride down (45 min) today for breakfast. I'm more interested in walking floor taking notes on various dealer's placement of cut card. Yet, it may be too early since opening that dealers are comfortable cutting two decks or better.

I played for a little while at Mountaineer on Thursday. They did have one 5 dollar table. The pit boss said it usually opens at 1 pm and closes at 3 am. He said there is normally people waiting at the table by 1030am to play. There was a family of 4 playing at this table the whole day. So it was pretty hard to get on.
The dealers, well are hit or miss. I had a few very good dealers, and a few very bad ones. The bad ones did not know how to count, and the pit boss yelled at the one guy pretty much every 5 mins. He also payed people with 22's since he didnt know how to count. Other than that it was bad. Some dealers let you split 3 times, some didnt. Some let you double down on a split, some didnt. Some let you split aces and hit on them, some didnt. So it was pretty clear that the casino had just opened.
