Technically you wouldn’t need to spread at all since you have the advantage off the top, but a 0.02% advantage isn’t really enough to play with. A nice 1-2 or 1-3 spread would work wonders in that game.

By "get away with" include not only what the pit overlooks BUT ALSO what will keep your RoR for your BR to a level that is acceptable to you. Also spread to two hands when possible in positive counts.

With that particular game, you DO NOT need to spread to have an advantage.
you need an empty table, or 1 other person, and you need very precise and astute index play.
I know that particular casino well, and you would not need to spread to beat it.
Now if you wanted to make some money on it, a 2-1-3 spread with strong index numbers could do some damage.
$200 off the top and at neutral counts, $100 on negative counts, $300 on + counts, and a roughly $30,000 bankroll.

Whoa, wait. That SD game no longer has a positive advantage off the top, and report is the pen is poor enough to make it not playable. Northern Nevada is the place to experience SD.

It also depends greatly on the penetration, and a little bit on the rules. A deeply dealt 2 decker can be beaten with 1-4, but a poorly dealt one may need 1-8, and still be worse than back-counting shoes. Hell, there are probably 8 deck games in the world that can be beaten with just a 1-4 spread.

i've only 'watched' the game a few times. if the rules are still 0.02%, then the last time i saw it, RO5 would be more than sufficient to beat it heads up, non?
what the conditions are today may be a different story than 4 months ago, but CBJN, as my trip this past weekend to palm springs has proven (again) that it needs to be read with a bucket of salt.... now you may have different sources too....

you could beat 8 deck with 1-4 spread if there were several 3,4,5 & 6's removed from the deck :laugh:

If you had an 8 deck game, with double on any 3, late surrender, double after splitting, resplit to 4, resplit aces, and it had 20 cards cut off...
The point was to pay attention to penetration and rules in addition to # of decks.

.54 for 6 decks? thats shitty.. im not familiar with 1-4 deck games as far as common rules go, but a 6 deck should be able .43 and 8 deck should be about .45.. im sure others on here would agree that any game over .5% is probably not a very good game, especially if its a shoe game

i would say so, seeing as how 80% is considered very good, but maybe there is a huge dif between 75 and 80%, i dunno, i just know that 80% is very good, and its extremely hard to find better than 80%
