new to the ap, been studying for months found the right casino to test out... rules were double any, deal hs17, early surrender 6 decks and duble after split, so i throw down a 100, after awhile im doing good, then i hit a 19-1 chance of my 2 cards being 20, i had suited 10s win 90, everythings going good im up to 300, LEAVE right? not my dumb ass, i get down 2 200, i decided to call it quits. i cash out.... then i make dummy move and sit back down to loss the 200 all back... tell me do i give it up or do i learn from mistakes. i was counting and winning just didnt leave tell me please?

You have a very long road ahead of you BJ brother, better super tune that car, burn premium all the time, and make sure those tires are in good shape, that is how we roll.

Most of US decided that we would try to learn from our mistakes. You're the only one who can decide what YOU'RE going to do.

Btw, the chance of getting dealt 20 is a little bit better than 9:1; and in regular blackjack the SUITS are irrelevant. Are you trying to count the Lucky Ladies Game? If so, I would suggest that you give up on THAT, at least until you learn to master counting the traditional game.

no i didnt try to count them ladies lol, BUT IFIGURED te best time to bet that would be a high + count! and i think i ment to say 19-1 which only paid 18-1 and i kept my bet lol. thanks senior guys i was just looking for insight, i felt good about winning then felt even worst testin my luck lol.

pretty much voodoo far as leaving if your doing a play all approach, not so if a wong out sorta thing.
just curious how much money did you expect to lose, what kind of fluctuation did you expect?

Your misfortune of losing your profit could have just as easily been a posiitve addition to your winnings - you just don't know, until all is said and done. Variance can be very ugly or very sweet, frequently it's somewhere in the middle.

If we all had crystal balls to predict the outcome, casinos wouldn't exist.


So you lost the 300 you thought you'd won. You've only won it once you're out the door and heading home, until then they've loaned it to you. I've had nights being ahead 1000 or more in an hour and finished the night in the red. Other nights in the red by 2000 only to wind up in the black. Some nights you hover, going nowhere. You just don't know what'll happen.

So go get 'em another time.

My best advice that I can give you use this as a learning experience and motivation. None of us like losing, if we did, why would we invest days upon days scouting games/casinos/pit crews/dealers and even more time practicing and reading. You caught some good variance and you caught some bad variance, so you have seen both sides of it now. Now take that beat you had, tuck it back in your mind, and think of it anytime you get sick of staring at stacks of cards, a computer, or this site. Remember that every article you read, every card you count, every hand you play, every time you visit this site, and every hand you catch at the felt should make you that much of a better AP. Any advantage you can add to your game helps the statistics to slide in your favor, but also remember that even the best players in the world, take bad beats from time to time, it is the nature of the beast we tangle with. Keep your head up.
And it is a pretty great feeling when you make that trip that nets you those losses back in your pocket, it's all about small victories in this game man.
