What would happen if someone were caught underage in a casino?

I myself am well above the legal age but I am just curious. Like if an 18 year old were to gamble in a casino where the legal age is 19 and makes a profit. But the casino asks for ID upon cashing out, the kid doesn't have ID because he says he doesn't bring his wallet to casinos so he doesn't lose more money than he wants, does the casino have the legal write to take back your winnings even though they have no proof you are underage?

IN NJ, an under-age player will forfeit any winnings, be arrested, barred from recieving any financial aid for higher education until he is 22, and can have their drivers license suspended until ninety days after their 21st birthday. They,and their parents , can also be sued in civil court for any damages they caused the casino-ie if the casino is fined for having underage players.
Its been reported that AC casino circulate a list of AC residents that have been caught playing underage for the purpose of denying them employment. Thats pretty big in a town where casinos provide almost all the good jobs.

In a place where the gaming law in 19, I'd be pretty certain you'd be id'd before you played, not when you tried to cash in.

Because casinos in A.C. have paid rather stiff fines in cases of their permitting underage patrons to gamble.

As a result, anyone who looks like they are (or MAY be) under 21 years of age, gets 'carded' by numerous employees, dealers included.

Long story made short:

Young man who is 20 plays in a casino where the age limit is 18+, although he intentionally does not bring an ID. Player wins $1200, only to have it taken away by the casino when he cannot prove that he is 18. Supposedly, the player was able to get the money back after surrendering ID at a later date.

Well then following this line of logic it would seem then that no wallet=no money, so what's the kid doing in the casino? Is he just going there to hit on old ladies with blue hair using walkers?

There's a way you can make yourself of age: Legally change your birthday. It's very similar to filing a court petition to legally change your name, but you do it for your birthday instead.

Huh? I heard Charo did that once but that was to make herself 10 years younger, not older. I don't think you legally make yourself older to become legal.

I believe the operative word here is that you have "evidence" to support that claim, which would mean a fictitious document. Sounds like a dangerous move

To sum up "what would happen," because it involves an age restriction all of the hysteria associated with drunken driving and the Neo-Prohibitionist groups (MADD, SADD, etc.) will be brought down on you. You will not be treated fairly. Normal due process and rules of evidence will be halfassed, you will be presumed guilty from the beginning, and even your own lawyer will treat you like a stupid kid with no self-control. A loser.

Every society has it's bad habits and ours is closing the barn door after the horse is gone. All the dumb-show and oppressive, inflexible enforcement won't bring back the dead kids, but at least the politicians can show that "they care" and put the target on someone else's ass. The grotesque example is the security theater at airports, but more pervasive examples are the weapons policies at schools where kids get in trouble for drawing pictures of guns, and youth vice regulations where they think the world will stop spinning on its axis if a 19-year old drinks a beer. Note they always target people who aren't in a strong position to fight back.

Hate to spoil your rant, but this is about underage gambling, not underage drinking. The NJ laws have been effect since gambling was legalized and pre-date the MADD/SADD era.

I was once employed as a Passport Adjudicator for the State Dept.

Obviously, altered birth certificates I had to confiscate.

Most were presented by vacuous vain shallow women wanting to be YOUNGER than they were.

On rare occasion a man would attempt to alter his birthday so as to appear OLDER.
An ill-conceived attempt to swindle society by claiming to be a Senior Citizen;
not that it would work in attempting to fraudulently collect Social security ahead of schedule.
