What's a good bet spread when switching to two hands?

I'm mainly playing a 6D right now using a standard 1-12 bet spread with good pen and was wondering how much I should be betting when spreading to two hands?

Right now if the table is full I will do a standard 12 unit bet on a >+5 TC, but if I play two spots I seem to vary my bet anywhere from 6-12 units. Would playing two hands of six units be the right play or should I just play a max spread bet on both hands?

I guess my main concern would be heat cause the other day I played a shoe where the TC went from -1 to +9 in one hand right before the end of the shoe, so I went from betting one unit for two shoes to two hands of 12 units on the last hand of the shoe. Long story short I got two BJs and someone at the table yelled "nice one MIT!"

The rule of thumb is 75% of your usual bet on each hand, so you have 150% out total.

I love the MIT remark.

Nice!! A Double BJ (w/MaxBets) is tough to get, in MD.

I personally would'nt go from a Flat-bet to a Max, from one round, to the next, for a couple reasons.

Assuming you have the BR, for that style of play and arent getting any heat; Go4it!

However, you may want to consider a more conservative approach.

I like to go to, two-hands, after 2 units.

1unit
2
2x2
4x4
8x8

or

$10
25
25x25
50x50
