What's the highest True Count you've seen in a shoe game?

+15 TC, RC of +30 with 2 decks remaining in an 8 deck shoe at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods. In fact, this just happened on my most recent trip last week! Won about $500 for the shoe with a $150 max bet. But I caved in to a pretty dealer and tipped $20.

My First Time in LV...

First time in LV--first 30 - 60 minutes at the tables!

Went up quickly to a moderately high TC in the first couple decks of an 8D shoe--Halves +5. (About +5 for Hi-Lo as well.) THE COUNT DIDN'T DROP--LIKE EVER.

My max. bet was $500 at the time. I reached it in the third deck and never bet more or less for the remainder of the shoe. (Thank god there were quite a few ploppies at the table. Little did I know at the time that they would be eating a lot of low cards.)

Anyway, the Halves TC rose to a wopping +15 (The RC was around 29 to +31.) WHEN THE SHUFFLE CARD WAS THROWN AT ME. I guess the Hi-Lo would have been around +13! I lost about $4,000. I went out side to calm down and feel sorry for myself. Then, at that very moment, I decided that shuffle tracking deserves a serious "looksie".

Were you rich to be playing $500 in your first session, or had you counted pretty seriously at places other than Las Vegas beforehand?

Shoot, my first time in LV, I was visibly nervous every time I doubled after a split and had 3 bets on the table instead of 1! On $3-$5 units!

Yeah, I was playing seriously for a couple years on the East Coast before I finally made it out to LV for the first time. The problem was that I didn't like playing in HET casinos even in the East. They were the largest connection to LV. Okay, this must sound convoluted...

I DIDN'T WANT TO PAY FOR ROOMS, AIRFARE AND OTHER STUFF! Eventually, I realized that I was just gonna have to at least pay for airfare on my first trip to LV and went for it.

i had a running count of +36 in a 6 deck shoe exactly 3 decks in, it lasted one hand before plumeting to +8 for the rest fo the shoe, i actually lost a boatload of money that shoe, and was confronted with the play A,8 vs 7 and contemplated weather or not doubling was the correct play at some astronomically high count such as +12, i started a thread about it and we determined that the count would be much higher than +12 so i made the correct play by standing.

I have had ZEN running counts in the +50's with a deck and a half or less to go.

ZEN True Counts in the 30's.

That is the Hi Lo equivalent of True Counts in the low +20's

That is extremely high for Zen. Today when I hit a +17 TC using Zen I thought that was pretty high. 2 decks to play and the running count was 35. How many decks was this?
