Actually 2:1 is bigger than 3:2. Say you bet $100 if playing 2:1 rule you would get $200 and in 3:2 you get $150. Maybe you meant 1:1EasyRhino said:I have little experience with brick and mortar video blackjack, but two things to look out for:
1) Deck may reshuffle on every hand. This means you can't count it.
2) Sometimes the payouts blow on overblown slots with a blackjack mode. If blackjack pays 2 for 1, (instead of 3 to 2) that's really only an even-money payoff, and that alone yields a big house edge.
Also, I've heard of some video blackjack machines that are even more slotlike, in that they don't use a real deck of cards, but are constructed to have, say, a 95% payout, like a slot.
Negative, it's a different in table terminology vs. slot terminology.Pinos said:Actually 2:1 is bigger than 3:2. Say you bet $100 if playing 2:1 rule you would get $200 and in 3:2 you get $150. Maybe you meant 1:1![]()
Oh! well that's some good sesame street gambling lesson for me, guess i have to learn a lot yet, thanksEasyRhino said:Negative, it's a different in table terminology vs. slot terminology.
At a table game, if something pays "1 to 1", it's an even money bet, and you win an amount equal to what you wager, as well as getting your wager back.
At a slot, if something pays "1 for 1", then it's really a push. You get back the unit you bet, but nothing more.
10 dollars gets you 30 minutes of free drinks.. You got to pace your self..EasyRhino said:I saw a brief story that some places in Vegas had video blackjack machines which followed real blackjack rules, but allowed tiny bets (quarter, etc). They were described as an excellent way to get free booze.
Pace yourself on the actual play, not the drinks!mdlbj said:10 dollars gets you 30 minutes of free drinks.. You got to pace your self..

Please don't misguide people based on your own selective memory, as the double up feature is one of the few things in Vegas with no house edge.shadroch said:I've yet to find a bar machine in Vegas that pays 3-2 on Bj. Most are double only 10/11,split once, ect, ect. S17.
But you can slowplay them for as little as 25cents and get free drinks while you play.I've done it quite a bit.
I use Oscars Grind, but usually start at 50 cents.DO NOT USE the double up feature,it is a surefire way to lose your money very quickly.
These two things have no house edge, and no player edge. Furthermore, no casino that I know of comps for these things.Blue Efficacy said:Please don't misguide people based on your own selective memory, as the double up feature is one of the few things in Vegas with no house edge.
This is akin to advising people to not take the odds in Craps, as it makes it easier to lose your money quicker.
