When At The Table Do You Start Counting?

May be a personal preference, just seeing what strategies people use..

Do you count as the dealer deals, or do you wait until all cards have been dealt?

Whichever you find easier. It's a personal preference, much like where does on sit.

I wait until all the cards are dealt out because pairs of cards often cancel each other other.

Now pitch SD or DD games are different, so I count the cards as they are shown.

I read some previous posts where people wait until ALL the cards are dealt to start counting. But what happens when 6 spots are playing, the dealter's up card is a 10, and they peek and it's an Ace? The dealer is quickly going to take all the cards away, potentially before you can count/cancel the pairs out....

So, the best is to count as the dealer deals his second card. Until then, we can talk to dealer, speak to pit boss, have a quick smoke , order a drink and do anything to show we die hard to get comps and enjoy the luxuries casino has to offer.

They take the money first which gives you time to count, cancel and group as long as you're competent...JtMM:cool:

This idea works well and does help for cover. If you have multiple players you can start counting after the dealer has started dealing the second card adding even more to cover. By canceling and grouping you can count faster than they can deal. This takes your eyes off the table for a bit and sometimes that's all it takes to fool the pit crew. It's best to mix things up in my opinion...JtMM:cool:

Dealer, Pit Boss and then prob Surv. who do you think gonna notice the counting?
Pit people are looking for signs of counting. Surveillance is looking for betting and playing patterns...JtMM:cool:
