When is the best time to leave a table???

Does anybody have an idea when the best time to walk away from the table is?
I know that this question is really hard to answer without all the variables?

For example, I sat down at a 6d table last night and made 45 units on the first shoe i played. I got up hit the cashier and went home. Now i am starting to regret it thinking i should of stayed and kept playing. Usually i try to spend at least 2-3 hours when playing at this casino. I was there about half hour tops.

So do people leave after a certain amount of time played, units won or units lost??????????

I understand if your feeling the heat you might leave so you don't burn yourself at that casino.

Any suggestions

there is no magical number of profits or of short term variance that serves as an indicator for this. It's best to just leave when you're tired, when you're drawing heat, or when its not fun anymore, or you have to go to sleep because you have work the next day.

as an AP the best you can do is play hands in tip-top shape. Playing tired or too loose will cost you money in the long run.
If you are up big in a session like 45 units, if you feel like you can keep playing accurately for the rest of your visit, then do so. But if you think you'll get loose and start betting more aggressively, then it's time to calm down and go home.

That casino and that card table isn't going anywhere. They will be there when you come back :)

Leaving?

You're right about no magical time but 45units and if you feel no heat no harm in staying. Don't overstay your welcome, too bad you couldn't go across the street and play some more. You could of hung around and play some nonsensical game for a short time then leave. I helps to make them think you were just there for a quick game.

All things considered

From a gamblers point of view you have to be able to leave while you are ahead. From AP perspective you have to put the time in. Wins and losses happen you are trying reach the long run. For heat issues you have to hit and run to stay off the radar. From a shoe perspective wong out at TC -2 or maybe -1, depending on what level count you are using, in the middle of the shoe. You need to give the shoe a chance to recover. Leaving near the end of the shoe has little value. From stamina when you are not playing your best.

In reality you have to balance all of the above.

What is the meaning of a session bankroll if you only allow yourself to lose only half of it ?

I mean you could then just half your session bankroll from the beginning, and allow yourself to lose all of it or quarter up.

People seems to have the strangest idea about money management ...

lol just regurgitating what I had read trust me when I say I am no pro in fact a very humble student trying to learn... specifically Bank Roll aspects.

I would leave after a large win for sure. Don't give the boys upstairs any reason to check up on you.

Also, I agree with leaving when you're tired.

I was playing an amazing game with Moo a couple nights ago and at around 7am I just couldn't keep my eyes open anymore so reluctantly walked away, while he heckled me for doing so I may add.

Yep lot of variables. But when it's getting late, I make sure to leave at the next negative count, big win, or after big bets at the end of the shoe.
