To be fair, I seriously doubt the OP is a casino spy, and I also don't think that JG is very worried about the book getting into the hands of those cunning and dangerous casino folk. The real threat to the game is in the form of unscrupulous rookies that are in such a hurry to make advanced plays that they forget the most important aspect of playing the games, which is not burning them out. An unfortunate result is that many honest, intelligent players will not be able to gain access to the material, but I feel it's very likely that motivated individuals will make friends at some point in their career if they continue along this particular path.

However, since JG is clearly not motivated by book sales, I really wish he would make some of the material public (a la Beyond Coupons), possibly in a revised form that omits sensitive material and focuses on metagame considerations. There is quite a bit of material in the early pages of the book that would greatly benefit the beginner, without covering sensitive topics.

I would guess not, since most copies sold of the previous printing were sold to casino people.

Most games get burned out by "real pros". zg
 
I should add that I'm only barely above the level of unscrupulous rookie myself, so my opinion should be taken at face value. And ZG: yeah, yeah, we've heard it. You completely missed my point in the other thread (which had nothing to do with burning games; rather, it was regarding an unintentional insight in your post), and my point in this thread is regarding whom I expect the author is intending to restrict sales of his book to. Then again, it is only my opinion, so who knows?

I cannot think of any good reason why this book is ever published?
Now you can blame rookies or pros (majority of them are born from this book).. But the real question is why would someone publish a book on advance strategy?

Especially knowing (earlier version) that most copies were being purchased by casino management and surveillance. zg

I attempted to buy the book from the website also. It gave me an email address to contact, but I have never received a response. I don't know what would make an acceptable email that would get them to let you buy the book.

I thought it wasn't a supply issue... Just that the author didn't want to sell any to people he didn't know....? :?
 
It seems that the JG thinks he will realize a greater profit by preventing the spread of the information than he could by selling the book.
