why not "mimic the dealer" at low counts???

I thought I would share a thought with everyone that I had today and get some feed back on it. If low counts put the house at a bigger advantage than a player who is counting, then would it be possible to decrease that house advantage by throwing basic strategy and counting out the window and mimicc the dealer? ( at counts -2 and lower) Meaning hit anything under seventeen and stand on 17, no doubling down and no splitting. I know its not wise to play low counts but if a person just bet the min and played like the dealer it seems to me that he would be better off than playing like normal, as it would be easier to make stiff hands. I guess the only bad thing would be busting as you will always bust first and not get paid. Just thought i'd lay this out there to get a discussion going. I know i hate it when i double down on 11 and get a 2 and then watch as the dealer pulls a six card blackjack out of his azz!!

Do indexes at low counts even mean much???

Hey Ken thanks for a quick response. I am familiar with some of the low count indexes although i dont use them because i try to get up before that point. But even using them, a player at a -4 count is still a 2 1/2% underdog
to the house right? i just find it hard to believe that hitting those stiff hands against the dealers stiff hands and not splitting or doubling down would make the disadvantage any worse?? Is there any way to run a sim using mimic strategy (at lower counts only) against the indexes to compare apples to apples. I am one of those people where it makes a lot more sense if i can see the numbers. thanks again Ken

If you are to play all you must use many negative indice plays, not "Mimic The Dealer". Best to just sit out and jump back in with the plus counts.

Just go with the math.

Mimicing the dealer is a really bad play because, the house edge comes from the fact that the player goes firsts and loses his bet on busting, if the dealer also busts, this is not a push, the house still wins. Stick to BS with I18
