Will BJ be part of your July 4 Weekend?

Too crowded - not worth the time and/or frustration. I did see though that one of the AC casinos had a funny promotion for slot play. For every degree over 72 on Sunday players will recieve that amount in dollars for slots on their players cards. Nothing short of 1000 degrees will entice me

Doing some marlin fishing this weekend in the Bahamas and the girls want to stop in Atlantis for a day. I might see if I can get our usual free stay and grub courtesy of their lousy game.

Marlin fishing? Bahamas? Girls??? Your July 4th sounds much more interesting than mine :) Too bad Atlantis has to screw up everything with their lousy game.

July 4th wonging inefficient?

May play? Table mins probably too high, so the trip would be for wonging only. Several posters here have stated too crowded. Something I always wanted to post: Can a crowd be beneficial for wonging in?

Have always felt I stood out like a sore thumb during uncrowded casino off hours, standing by tables waiting to wong in. Felt uncomfortable not "blending in" with other bystanders. With a crowd, there are a number of people floating around tables that are not necessarily waiting to play.

However, July 4th weekend in AC(?), may be overcrowded to a point where not enough open tables provide enough spots for efficient wonging? By the time a count hits an entering point, someone may jump into that once available spot. This may occur way to often to make it worthwhile? Any experiences?

At certain shops in AC, even non-holiday weekends make wonging in extremely difficult because of the crowds. If you are planning on playing this weekend, wonging out of negative shoes will likely be your best bet if you wish to get substantial table time in. Make good use of your cell phone and bathroom breaks.

This is a better time for poker since the games will be fishy. Heading to the Borgata tonight to play 2/5 NL. Holiday weekends bring out the worst poker players. Gotta love it when people will commit their huge stack with just top pair-top kicker or 2 pairs. The game's so juicy that you can play only pocket pairs all weekend and hope to flop a set, then stack off. Live set mining. I made nearly $1500 in one day on Memorial Day weekend. My best hand was when I had deuces and flopped a boat against someone with ace-3, and 2 aces appeared on the flop, They put all $500 of their stack in on the flop, even though I limped, so a better ace or a set would be the only hands that are likely to call and beat them.

It would be great if it rained one day so that the real tourists would be playing poker instead of on the beach.

Now blackjack is too crowded on holiday weekends. The best times for BJ is overnight midweek.

I love crowded weekends if you can get on a table...very limited heat and opportunities abound to spread large given the crowded conditions. Very AP friendly....stunned at the amount of posters shunning see opportune conditions....find a seat and stay there...take a shitload of calls and bathrooms breaks...you could even sit out a few hands in negative counts...soo many people means not enough time to lay attention to you.

LOVE IT

In poker when playing with the fishes, I almost feel guilty at how easy it is to win. In poker at times, I almost feel like its free money. Never feel that way ever in BJ, always seems like hard work

Hey everyone,

Any members plan to include some BJ into your 7/4 weekend? If so, where are you heading? Getting comped a suite? :cool2:
The casino charged $30 for normally free parking so I passed. (Diamond card holders can still park free during 7/4 weekend but I am not rated.)
