Working in a Casino

I have recently been considering changing my major in college to Hospitality Business, with the hope of one day being the manager of a large Hotel or Casino.

My question is: How much do Casino managers get paid? Are they different from the casino president? (Caans character in the show Las Vegas?)

Thanks!

Depends on the size, its 6 figures without a doubt though. A manager of walmart makes six figures. Im sure in a large casino hotel theres dozens of people that are raking in 6 figures but your not going to get that pay until youve worked in the industry for a couple decades, so dont get too excited... The GM or CEO of a casino will be making anywhere from a couple hundred to seven figures with bonus in a large casino.

From what ive heard the hours are ridiculous and at the beginning at least your managing ppl that at the bottom of the chain aka uneducated, unmotivated dumbasses, not the funnest people to manage...

I know people that have been managers of various types of business and lot of them end up buying their own business either through partnership or saving up their own money. Hours are still long but your getting paid more and working for yourself. No pressure to meet targets and get your bonus, no ppl calling you and asking you why you arent at the office...

It doe not take a couple of decades to make six figures working in the casino business. In fact, with the ability for casino workers to participate in stock butying options and profit-sharing,it doesn't take very long at all.
