So after 3 years of AP, I have recently hit the magical 21. This opens up a whole new world of opportunity for me, which is pretty exciting!

I plan to be making my first Vegas trip in the coming months and I was looking for some hotel and dining recommendations for a small group of 21 year olds. Obviously the emphasis here is on fun, price, and drinking.

Also, is the American Casino guide 2010 good? Or is there something similar that is more geared toward Vegas? I think my first trip will just be for fun but i know my AP instincts are gonna be itching to play so if you feel there are any "must hit" BJ stores i'd appreciate a PM.

Also, if anyone is gonna be in Vegas within the next 3 months, shoot me a PM and we'll see if a meet up is a possibility.

fire away!

I'll be in vegas middle of next month for a few days, I'm just getting back into AP after a few years of focusing on poker. It is a nice change of pace...

Anyway, if you are there at the same time would love to meet up with other players and share stories/knowledge, etc.

Stay at the Rio if you can. Very large rooms, nice buffet. Games aren't great, but there's a shuttle.

First of all, Congrats on turning 21.

Ok so.. Vegas.. Few things.

Hotel room - Which of the two people do you consider yourself..
A. You dont care about the room you wont be spending much time in it ITS VEGAS
B. Heck ya we had this pimp ass suite in Vegas..

Once you answer that, it will give you a good idea of where you want to stay and what you want to pay.

What stores to play at - This will depend on your bank roll. also do you prefer 2d or 6d?

ACG - Very good coupon book worth the price, buy it from amazon 12.95 free shipping on orders over $25, have each of your friends get one it will pay for itself and then some.

Transportation - How do you plan to get around? Answering this will help aid in answering which stores you should play in and also if the ACG is worth buying. My best advice i can tell you is... RENT A CAR RENT A CAR RENT A CAR. The amount of money you will pay for Taxi cabs or time you will spend on "The Deuce" just isnt worth it IMO.

Now i know what your thinking... buncha guys in Las Vegas for the first time we dont want to drink and drive. Well depending on where you stay you may not have to go anywhere when you go out for drinking, most hotels have some pretty crazy bars/clubs. Also if you stick two one of two general locations(The strip or Downtown) you can walk to all the bars you want and not have to worry about driving drunk.

If you answer these questions i can give you some more details.
