John Crover, why would you make such a post? Don't be one of these guys that is always starting trouble and stirring the pot.
I am competing with no one except myself. Ok, I do sort of like to finish a head of my younger brother because the one year that he caught some strong variance and made a little more than me...well lets just say he didn't let me forget it.
But other than that, I am competing with no one except myself and my own expectations and goals.
I can't speak for ZK, but I hope he feels similarly. I only know ZK from interactions on forums and things I read and hear from others that know him. It doesn't seem he puts in the hours or rounds that I do. Why should he. He puts in the play that he wants and that's the way it should be.
I know he struggles with the swings and hasn't mastered dealing with the variance involved with card counting. And I think that is part of him playing less at times. Strictly as an observer from afar, I think he is doing just fine. I think it is 3 years now, spring of 2017? since he packed up and drove to Las Vegas and he has supported himself from card counting for 3 years now! Yeah, some, ok make that a lot of complaining along the way, but 3 years of supporting himself from blackjack play just as he set out to do.
So good for him....good for you ZK!
Now if we were to do a fair comparision, based on equal amounts of play and similar playing stakes, I have no doubt ZK would win, because I heard or read
somewhere....that he is the greatest card counter that ever lived.
And I can't compete with that. I am just a lowly grinder card counter, using the simple techniques I have learned from everyone else, to do my thing at my modest amounts. AND that is just the way I want it.
