Compare the rules before choosing the table. A live dealer handles the cards, but your wager and the paytable decide the price.
Start with the game, then check the casino's edition. Each page covers its official payout schedule and draw rules. Classic table edges are computed from their full paytables. Multiplier tables show Evolution's published RTP, based on a maximum wager on an individual bet.

House edges are computed per original wager from each full paytable and include pushes. Multiplier tables show Evolution's published RTP, based on a maximum wager on an individual bet. The two measures are not directly comparable, so sorting places the published figures last. Table limits are set by the casino.
Player, Banker and Tie refer to the two hands and their result. They do not give you control of either hand.
Each hand starts with two cards. Aces count as 1, 2 through 9 at face value, and tens and face cards as zero.
Keep the last digit of each total. A 7 and an 8 count as 5. The higher final total wins, and equal totals tie.
An initial 8 or 9 is a natural and stops drawing for both hands. A natural 9 beats a natural 8. When neither hand has a natural, Player draws on 0 through 5 and stands on 6 or 7. Banker then follows the automatic draw table.
| Banker total | When Player draws, Banker draws on these third cards |
|---|---|
| 0, 1 or 2 | Any card |
| 3 | Any card except 8 |
| 4 | 2 through 7 |
| 5 | 4 through 7 |
| 6 | 6 or 7 |
| 7 | No draw |
When Player stands without a natural, Banker draws on 0 through 5 and stands on 6 or 7. The dealer applies these rules without a decision from you. The draw table follows the official punto banco rules, section 13:69F 3.9. This general document does not verify a particular provider's paytable.
Check the Banker commission, Tie payout and optional bets. A speed format changes the pace, not necessarily the main odds. More rounds at the same stake mean more money wagered in the same session.
A reduced payout on a particular Banker win can replace the separate commission. For example, a winning Banker 6 may pay only half the stake in profit. A Super 6 side bet is a separate wager, and its schedule is not universal.
Check the extra fee, which cards qualify and how multiple multipliers combine. A fee can still be retained on a tied main hand. Maximum prizes do not reveal the average return or the likelihood of the highest multiplier.

A human dealer and a camera do not establish a lower house edge. Compare matching deck, draw and payout rules, including any commission, fee or reduced win.
A larger payout is not automatically better value. Win frequency, pushes, commission and extra fees all matter.
This example uses a fresh shoe, automatic punto banco draws, 5% Banker commission, Player paying 1 to 1 and Tie paying 8 to 1. Ties return Banker and Player stakes. It has no extra fees or side bets. It is not a paytable for every live baccarat game.
Enter a stake from $0.01 to $1,000,000 and a whole number of rounds from 1 to 100,000.
The total return includes your original stake. A push returns the stake without profit. The average cost is stake times rounds times house edge, not a prediction for one session. These probabilities start with a full shoe; they change as cards leave the shoe. Displayed figures are rounded from exact enumeration. Payout rounding and minimum commission units are not included.
We enumerate every point value sequence from a fresh shoe without replacing drawn cards, then apply the automatic draw rules. Shorter hands are counted with the possible unused card orders. An eight deck shoe has 4,998,398,275,503,360 ordered six card sequences. This is exact enumeration, not a simulation.
In the eight deck example, Banker wins 45.86% of rounds, Player wins 44.62% and the hands tie 9.52%. At 5% commission, Banker's house edge is Player win probability minus 0.95 times Banker win probability: 1.06%. Player's edge is Banker win probability minus Player win probability: 1.24%. Tie at 8 to 1 costs 1 minus 9 times Tie probability: 14.36%. These edges come from the exact probabilities, so working them from the rounded figures can land a hundredth away.
Pushes remain in the denominator as zero profit rounds. The figures do not apply unchanged to reduced Banker payouts, added fees, multipliers or other side bets. Expected cost is stake times rounds times house edge; your own session can finish far above or below that average.
Every live baccarat table shows the results of its current shoe as scoreboards called roads. Here are the two main roads for one example shoe of 48 hands. Tap or hover any mark to see what it means.
48 hands: Banker won 24, Player 19, and 5 were ties.
The Bead Plate records every hand in order, ties included. It fills from top to bottom, six hands to a column, then moves one column to the right. A red B is a Banker win, a blue P is a Player win and a green T is a tie. A small red dot marks a Banker pair and a small blue dot marks a Player pair, meaning the first two cards of that hand were the same rank.
The Big Road groups wins into streaks. Each run of Banker wins goes down one column of red rings, and each run of Player wins goes down a column of blue rings. When the winner changes, the road starts a new column. Ties do not get a column of their own: a green slash across the latest ring marks one, with a number for several. A streak longer than six turns right along the bottom, which players call a dragon tail.
A long run of Banker wins looks meaningful, but the cards do not remember the board. Cards already dealt shift the chances only slightly, and the board does not tell you which way. In 20 million simulated hands, the hand right after a Banker run came out almost exactly like any other hand.
| Which hands | Banker | Spieler | Tie |
|---|---|---|---|
| Every hand | 45.86% | 44.62% | 9.51% |
| Right after 4 or more Banker wins in a row | 45.89% | 44.61% | 9.50% |
Each simulated shoe was shuffled from eight decks and dealt by the standard drawing rules to the cut card. 838,202 hands came right after a run of four or more Banker wins; a tie ends a run.
On the ordinary eight deck example above, Banker is cheaper than Player, and Tie is much more expensive. Do not carry that ranking into a different rule edition without checking its settlement.
A main hand winning does not necessarily win its Bonus wager. Pair bets concern specified initial cards, not just final point totals. Use the complete paytable and the separate edge for the wager you actually choose.
Decide your wager size, session budget and stop point before joining. You can sit out a round. Betting more after a loss, following a streak or changing hands on a pattern does not improve the payouts.
You control the bets, pace and amount at risk, not the dealer's draws. If gambling is becoming hard to control, take a break and use our problem gambling help.
Choose a casino licensed to serve your location, read its current game help and check that the displayed payouts match the edition you are comparing. A studio name is not proof of every table's availability or configuration.
A video feed lets you watch the cards, but it does not remove the house edge. Keep the casino's complaint and responsible gambling tools in mind, and never treat a published return as a promise about your next hand or session.
No. Ordinary punto banco uses a fixed draw table. Your choice is which wager to place before dealing, not how either hand plays.
With eight decks, a 5% commission on Banker wins, 1 to 1 on Player and 8 to 1 on Tie, Banker costs 1.06% per original stake. Player costs 1.24% and Tie costs 14.36%. A different paytable needs its own calculation.
In the ordinary example, main Banker and Player bets push on a Tie. Side bets use their own conditions, and a feature game can retain a fee when the main wager pushes. Check the specific game help.
No. A table can replace a commission with a reduced payout on a particular Banker result. Compare every settlement rule rather than the commission label alone.
No. A results board records past hands, not a promise of a reversal or continuation. Cards leaving a shoe can change probabilities, but a pattern on the board does not guarantee the next result.
No. Changing your stake changes the size of a win or loss, not the paytable. A losing run can reach your budget or the table limit before you recover.
Only when their deck model, drawing and settlement rules match. Physical cards and a dealer on video do not by themselves make a paytable better or worse.
Not necessarily. Provider availability is not confirmation of a specific baccarat table, optional bet or regional edition. Check the current live lobby and game help before depositing.
Read the bonus terms first. Baccarat can be excluded or contribute less than the amount you wager. Check eligibility, wagering weight, maximum bet and withdrawal conditions rather than assuming a welcome offer works on live tables.
