    counting strategies

KO is easy, but I think TKO is more complicated than Hi Lo. If you do really have problem with division and multiplication, then TKO is the way to go.

    Advancing my skills

Forgot to mention that in your case 32-33sec is only good if you are able to do so by watching TV, talking to somebody, drink and eat snack at the same time, while being able to retain the running count on your mind... and needs some acting so you won't appear thinking too hard on counting...

    Advancing my skills

I think 47-49 is too slow, should be at least around 30sec for quick dealers and 40sec for slow dealers. When I started and have been practicing intensively for 4 months, I was able to reach up to 16 seconds, but after hitting the casinos, I found out 40 is probably enough for most of the games...

    seat at the table problem

You just need to practice more. I think the 3rd base is the best (casino knows that it's the favorite seat for counters), then 1st base, because I can see all the cards at once, don't have to move my head at all.

    The right count system?

Yes, it is good enough. I have been using KISS III for some time with success, although now I am using Hi Lo. If you are playing shoe games 4 to 8 deck games, you don't really need 2nd or 3rd level counts unless you like to torture yourself :whip:. I have tried most of the counting system...

New to counting, using Wong Halves with 6+ decks

By my own experience playing BJ is Experience = 90% Card Couting = 10% I have probably read 95% of the BJ books in the market and have been practicing on CVBJ for 3 months everyday before even hitting the casino for the first time. But I realized that there were 90% more that I had to learn...

Group thought required about multiple deck games

I had this experience only once. I just don't see anybody winning that day, my tables and all other tables. What bugs me is that I played heads up with a dealer, while I was losing 5 consecutive hands mostly pat and when I had 14 vs 9 I hit it, but the dealer was hesitating to give me the card...

    Estimate of remaining cards

Yes, it's true that some stores use 8 deck discard tray for everything. For example at AC Tropicana, they have done that for 4 decks too. But still, it hasn't been a problem to me because by looking into the missing gap, it's not hard to estimate the decks used on the table, setting the new...

Help me decide (a little personal)

As I know, that movie was created by MGM (the MIT team hit MGM casino too ). This actually boosted casino's bottom line, go figure. Check out the article about "21 Movie - Truth and Fiction" at http://wizardofodds.com/blackjack/21movie.html and also at...

    Estimate of remaining cards

I totally agree. So I came up with another way, estimate it using the discard tray itself, not by the pile of decks. For example, if you are looking at the discard tray and it has filled to the half, you know it has little bit more than 3 decks, if it is 1/4 filled, then you know it is little...
