You don't mention # of decks, but if they are the same, I'd go with game 2. If game 1 is 2D and game 2 is 6D, I'd go with game 1.

Limit poker is huge on variance. Many mid-stakes pros recommend 500 big bets for 20-40 & 40-80, 8-16 is probably weak enough to beat with less, but if you are playing for a living, I wouldn't recommend it. As far as 3-6 and 4-8, you might be able to beat the drop under the right conditions...

Bobby's room dealers aren't any different than the rest of the poker room and most of them hate having to deal back there. They make measurably less than when dealing a mid stake game and they have to put up with a lot more abuse.

IMO 4-8 and 3-6 limit games are not beatable because the rake is so huge. You would be better off playing a low buy in No Limit game. Personally, I can't stand no limit, I find it excruciatingly boring, but until you have $8k and can play 8-16, I think it is the only reasonable option...

Yes, I did this for quite a while a few months ago, switching between 6 deck and single deck. It was very nice, unfortunately my buddy lost a lot and wanted to leave. I just flat bet 3x$100 and won a lot. My OP wasn't regarding that, I was just interested in 6:5 opinions.
