    Harrington, Del

I did go to play poker at CT a few weeks ago, and the ploppys seem to be running out of money. Only 1/2 the main pit was open in the morning when I got there (1 $15 min). When I left around 3p, the non smoking pit was open, but all the tables were $15 min (about 6 tables) with the same crappy...

    Borg going H17?

Just looking thru the VP emails I get and a user reports that the pit by Seablue was getting felt stating H17. Since MGM backed out and they haven't found a buyer for the other half, wondering if the std Boyd games will take over?

    Make 250k in one year?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's totally unrealistic. 10k BR would mean only $10-$15 units to bet with. Your best bet to make 250k out of 10k would be to play the powerball with that money, and hope you hit. -B

    AC Conditions

I believe DE will keep their rules player friendly, even though Dover's CEO is stating they are breaking even on table games. With only 3 casinos in the state, and being so close to AC and PA, they are the most vulnerable in the mid atlantic to people running and jumping to other places. -B

    AC Conditions

A side question for all of you - how long do you think the favorable conditions in PA/DE will last before the casino mgmt cry that they require H17 games to survive? Next year? As for crappy players, I notice them all over, aside from AC -B

    I gotta post this.

Congrats! Closest I have come is I got 2 suited 7's recently (hearts), and got another heart (but a K). If I remember correctly, a $25 bet pays out 5k for the bonus. -B

I unfortunately, never stayed past one shoe, so I never noticed whether they had ASMs at the BJ tables. ;) I did play SP21 there, and they use ASMs, so I assume the same at the regular tables. Was the first time I was told not to bother to color up too.

I'm surprised, I was there the Wed before Veterans Day and they had 10 tables open all day. No CSMs, though I did notice ASMs at the $25 tables (NMSE). -B

Card Counting for the Recreational Player?

I think it's a good place to start - once you get proficient at the OPPC, then you can add in the negative cards (10's & A's) to go to Hi-Lo running count. Alternatively, you could just do the A/5 Count (Ace as -1, 5's as +1) as a very rudimentary system...

I found the same when I went to visit last month. Just got my free room offer, was surprised, it includes $120 MP as well. During the week, all the tables were $10 limits as well, never a problem getting a seat, it only got busy around 5:30p. They even let you bet 2 circles without doubling...

    First Trip

I think that even with only 100 dollars to play with, you will be exposed to a very high trip risk of ruin, even at the $5 table. You may be able to push a $15 or $25 bet out there, but remember, counting does not guarantee a win. I would suggest waiting till you can have at least $500 to...

    Hello, and a few questions

Thanks for the pointers. I am getting more proficient at counting pairs, and realize that's the way to go for my BJ situation. Unfortunately, I'm on the east coast, so surrender is only available for my trips to Vegas (which are only once a year at the moment). I'm thinking the wonging will...

    Hello, and a few questions

I have been lurking on the site on and off, but finally have had the time to devote to practicing and learning Hi-Lo. I had a few questions to ask in terms of this count. 1) Any tips on how to get more proficient at maintaining the count when the dealer has Blackjack with an A up? I'm...

    American Casino Guide 2011

Only general conditions The ACG is good for general conditions - Steve usually outlines the 6deck LS and the Off-strip 2d DAS as good games in discussing vegas blackjack - but for all the pertinent data, I'd go with CBJN. -B

Shoot, CTown was touting that 12 of the richest county in the nation are within 60 miles of their casino. I have seen one $15 once in the non-smoking pit, but that was the only time I did not see $25 and up for table limits. I went up for Veteran's Day, and they staffed the casino like it...
