There is a casino in Laughlin, that when you buy in, they give you a piece of paper. You write down what you bought in for and the time, and your average bet. When you finish, you write the time you left. The dealer verifys the info and it gets dropped into the money drop box. The game itself is mediocre, but the comps add up quickly.
 
Well there's the story about Wynn and the homeless guy that hit them up, at the Mirage years ago, for a couple of million starting with his Social Security check as the buy in. If it's not an urban legend then dress isn't the key. As I recall Wynn took good care of this fellow....at least until they got their money back. :grin:

I think I heard that story 10 years before they broke ground on Mirage but legend or not, a player who starts small and gets up a ton of money will have his game disected by the best that the casino has. They will look for player cheating or collusion, they will look for advantage play or if the guy is just plain lucky.
If it is determined that he is just lucky, dressed like a million or dressed like a bum, they will intice him to stay and play offering him the best of food, beverage and room, knowing that eventually the money will flow the casinos way.

Now if they determine he is an advantage player or a cheat, other action will be taken.:grin:

I won about $4k playing $50/hand for 20 hours. I got about $200 in comp at Mandalay. Seems kinda low to me but ill take it.
 
Huh, a while back I think I got a $200 comp for $108/hr rated play of around 6-8 hours... and I may have negotiated a litlte better deal from the boothling. so the comp's not totally unreasonable. winnings is pretty nice, too.
