Im sure this has been addressed but I can't find it on here..All conditions (decks, pen, rules, crowd conditions) considered, what are the most advantageous places to play in AC? I have played in the Trop and Borgata and now prefer Borgata- it's just a nicer place, the cocktail waitresses are absolutely gorgeous (!) and when I was there, there was good pen and not too many people at the $10 tables. The chips are pretty nice too.. I still can't seem to find a heads-up game, and im there at all hours.. thanks

Best AC Casino?
Go about 2500 miles west of town... to Vegas and...hahaha (just kidding). I like the Borgata also but it's as people have said, their game is beginning to deteriorate somewhat from when they first opened. They are also ALWAYS crowded 24/7 it seems, making heads up play tough to get there.
Tropicana is less crowded, especially at 4AM on a weekday! The waitresses are not quite as... well, you know... there. The blackjack game is not half bad for AC standards, though. Tropicana gets MY vote! (Unless you are going to the casino to oogle waitresses rather than actually play, in which case I recommend Borgata!)

TROPICANA hands down best place to play, hilton can have a good game, and as tarzan said borgota is also good... Tarzan knows AC very well i recomend anything he says as he is more up to date then most on this site.

Best place to play in AC: depends on the day and what game you are playing. All you really care about is penetration and that is variable.
But usually I also find what I'm looking for at the south end of the Boardwalk. It's not worth it to go all the way over to Borgata and find out they are cutting 2 decks that day, and have to leave.

AutoMonkey hit that nail right on the head! Something about Borgata... it is isolated and apart from all the other casinos. You have to make a special trip to get there (and cough up your 5 bucks to park) instead of being able to rummage through a group of casinos on foot. This can turn out to be a "hit or miss" situation if you are looking for less crowded conditions and certain other conditions that vary on a seemingly constant basis there.
I have gone to Borgata on occasion where I walked around a while, not playing a single hand after not seeing anything I liked (other than scantily clad waitresses) and walked back out to go to the next casino. This is the chance you take and it's not like the boardwalk casinos where you can park in one spot and "hoof it" through a multitude of casinos.

The more I consider it, the more I'm thinking that the H17 games in Harrah's properties are the best BJ games in town.
especially when pen sometimes gets to 7.25/8 decks. given that and wonging, whoever "washes their hands" of harrahs properties on the boardwalk are giving up lots of opportunities in my opinion.
AC sucked this morning
I just got back from AC. This morning, I walked in and out of 4 Boardwalk joints without sitting down. They had so few tables open, even a ploppy couldn't find a seat, let alone an AP looking for good conditions.
BTW, Trop is back to mostly 8D games with mediocre pen and is one of the four (I won't mention the others.)
Note to casino execs reading this:
You're cutting dealers at $8/hour to save on payroll, yet your gamblers can't find a place to play. Amazing how stupid you guys are.

Thanks for the info. I wanted to visit AC this week, but I think should go elsewhere. Compared to last year, I do see that the AC conditions are really getting sloppier.

Fewer Tables Open
I have noticed this also, the fewer tables open and they are packed in like sardines. This is all over AC and I have spent lots of time lately walking into a place to see this and promptly turn around and leave, moving on to the next place.
The sad and stupid part of it all is that you have these few packed in blackjack tables and then on all the "carnival games", such as 3 card poker, etc., you have dealers standing there twiddling their thumbs and admiring the ceiling fixtures! If management's idea is to have fewer dealers standing there and doing nothing, they are off base by a mile! Not only do they STILL have a large group of dealers admiring ceiling fixtures but they are also turning away players that would otherwise be playing.
I was standing around in Tropicana one fine day and there was this other guy hanging back, watching the array of busy tables that I struck up a conversation with. It turns out that he was waiting for the some of the same things that I was waiting for, which was for some of these packed in tables to open up a bit! As it turns out he was staying at the hotel there with his wife and she was playing slots and he was (wanting to be playing) blackjack. As I was leaving after not playing a single hand, he was talking of simply going back to their room and waiting for things to die out a bit which I assured him would happen by middle of the night. Not having enough blackjack tables open turns away business... simple as that! Casinos are crying about their lowered volume of business? Well, they can be their own worst enemy in not maximizing gaming availability for the customers they have! To see a few very packed in blackjack tables and most blackjack tables closed and then see a string of dealers standing at carnival games tables with not a single player at any of them is somewhat less than brilliant strategy.
What I am hearing about Tropicana (I haven't been there in a few weeks) is ugly and it sounds like they could be transiting from the best place to play in AC to the absolute WORST. Are we talking green chip sort of tables or red chip sort of tables for the 8 decks? I will get that way again soon enough to see for myself, I guess.

I think a lot of APs and gamblers are going to CT casinos because of the very reason. I see that a lot of BJ tables in AC are closed, the ones that are open are packed like sardines just like you said. But Foxwoods is kinda getting crowded too since February this year, specially the $10, $15 tables, just like AC.
I think the next door MGM has better conditions, but it only has min $25 and up. Moegan Sun probably has better conditions (in terms of crowd, but they have poor penetration) than Foxwoods. I just don't get it, instead of trying to compete with CT, AC is really getting worse and that includes the slot machines. Maybe they should just all go bankrupt and let the new competitive managements takeover.

If mgmt had any brains
They'd open up more blackjack tables. After all, that's their bread and butter. Their days of being THE slot joint are over. Only reason why you see those empty carnival games still around is because their profit %'s are so high with them that they only need 1 or 2 players to essentially make the same amount or more than they would with a full table of bj players.

I should have visited more often while 4 deck lasted, lol. I was only able to sit once on the 4 deck and made some amount of $.
