I don't think Norm disrespects your effort to provide a free simulator. When he responds to you he is simply pointing out where your analysis is flawed. You could interpret his responses as a free constructive business consultation.

One of the reasons he can respond to some of the points you are making about the usefulness of your free program is that as far as I know, Norm has been writing/coding and selling statistical based card counting information/software for decades. He has a substantial informational and competitive advantage against probably any new entrant into said market. He is not worried about competition from your software.

When he responded to you about the small number of rounds, it was in reference to the fact that a small number of rounds may not be sufficient to reach statistical significance. In other words, if you do not go beyond a certain number of rounds when attempting to draw a specific conclusion, you may arrive at an incorrect interpretation of the information. This was not negative disrespect, this was pointing out an error you are making by thinking you may have proven or gathered something with too small a sample.

I respect that you are generously attempting to provide free software (in effort to profit form accompanying advertisements) for the average card counter, but you have to be an above average card counter to get a small edge in today's blackjack games.

Bjsim does not focus too much on counting. The main focus is what to do with Split and Doubles. For Example I am findin g out that split 8 on 10, A does not works most of the time.

Based on Billion of hands of simulation i will not recommned to anybody to base his income on BlackJack. I thought i can do it myself and all teh simulaiosn proove that it better to focus on real Work.

However i can make small profit and enjoy the free room and free food at most casinos.!!!!

What you are doing is what many of us who are drawn to blackjack have done. You are researching about how to improve your game, and in the process trying to help others improve their game.

In reference to determining how you should play your hands (for example split 8,8 vs. 10 and A) basic strategy for how to play your hands has been proven a loooong time ago, by University professors nonetheless. Certainly if you code a program and figure basic strategy out with your own mathematical aptitude, you may do this, but that information is already correct and published.. Have fun. :)

well, here is an example for cvcx.
you can create a sim for some game.
then you can use a series of calculators to answer pertinent questions relative to the sort of scenario you describe .
for example in the image below the calculator gives a range of results for a confidence level of 95% for six hundred hands (circa six hours of play).

Bjsim since you are asking to hear from members, I have made an observation which concerns me from reading all your posts. This is not a personal attack on you but is meant as constructive criticism. Your spelling is atrocious and I'm not expecting you to be a grammer scholar but what this says to me is that you lack attention to detail and this concerns me with your programming. How do I know your code won't be filled with bugs and errors which might give me false data? I apoligize if english is not your first language.

Sorry for the spelling error. This is mostly from luck of time (Full time job, 3 small kids, and developing bjsim on the side and Complex option investments and more).
I have 20+ years experience in software in leading companies and my software used by many SP500 companies with minimal error rates.

My self and my friends are using this software in real life and making small profit that is equal to what BJSIM is repoting.

You are welcome to verify the data Hand by Hand. Also you can verify
the stat.

Since it is extremely complex software (My Specially is complex) it is possible that minor defects are still their as with any software. I followed it up myself for hundereds of hands and cleaned all the defects i could find.

I don`t think so, for a weekend warrior cvdata and cvcx is a must (BJ is a complex game), I start at BJ in January and Qfit software really helps a lot I also have SBA to compare ( a lot more complex a lot)

Qfit is more developed and more established. However BJSIM is unique.
1) It has the simulation Online - Nothing to install on your PC. Available to everyone without even login.
2) It is absolutely free.
3) It will grow to be the huge free Database for simulations. I am considering allowing some users to run simulations of Millions as long as they will agree to post them to the public. By the end of the year BJSIM will have couple thousands of ready simulations that can be accessed online within 1 second.
4) I am also considering votes on the best simulations.
5) It will be up readers analyze the results and make their own recommendations.

It is simply impossible to create correct results with so few hands. This is particularly true with strategy generation. Sorry, but your results have no meaning.

If you would like to see the SCOREs of many strategies, I have posted the results of 150,000 two Billion hand simulations with hundreds of millions of combinations of input at http://www.card-counting.com/blackjack-data.htm for free. Select the first Launch button.

Actually, on the same site, see the two Results calculators. Although they require the EV and std. dev.
