Found "No Ante" Oklahoma Casino!

I visited Downstream Resort this week and was surprised to see their table felts did not have the ante circle. Previously my understanding had been that ALL Oklahoma blackjack required the ante. A player then explained that, as long as you present a player's card, you are not required to pay the 50 cent
per-hand ante. So as you may expect, I went to the club desk and signed up. However I am somewhat confused as to why the use of a player's card, or not, has anything to do with charging an ante. BTW, this is a classy place with decent rules and penetration.
 
It's vary from bet amount and vary per casino

General rule:
Bet: 5-50: ante of 25-50c
Bet:50-100: Ante of 50c-1$
Bet>100: Ante of 1$

This is more than the edge :)

If you're afraid to play rated you're leaving a lot of EV on the table wherever you go, unless you're a red chipper and they don't rate red chippers at your store.

You only need comps if you are a red or purple chipper..
Red: You can't afford room.
Purple: You cannot play as a refusal..
Whatever works for you, is good for you.

Well, some of us would prefer to ada 20-50% to our EV's by not having expenses.

It's state law because of the way the tribes can make money off of table games.

I guess they have figured out a way to circumvent the law if your in the club.

Just like reducing your spread for fear of heat, you're leaving money on the table. And it isn't theoretical money like the small spread example. YOU WILL most certainly miss out on some wonderful value. Matchplays, freeplays, slot play, food, rooms.

According to forum member OklahomaCasinoGuru, in an earlier post; some of the Oklahoma casinos have opted to pay the ante THEMSELVES, thereby waiving it for the players.

So how do they make money? I thought the law was that they could not take profits from banked table games.

The winnings from the game itself go to the player pool, the player pool then pays the antes for the player.

Also anyone foolish enough to not get a card is making money for the casino too.

If the player pool ran out of funds to fund the ante though, there could be a problem.
 
No Ante

Some OK casinos pick up the ante as a promotion. In the Tulsa area, Osage Million Dollar Elm Casinos run no ante promotions three days a week. I'm not sure about the Oklahoma City casinos.

They have no ante because they are busy skimming out the players pool profits into the private bank accounts of tribal leaders. That is a major industry in OK.

They also have 6-deck and double deck with $10 min. Cut varies with the dealer. H17 is correct. Don't remember about RSA.
