sorry to burst your bubble flash, but Ketamine is easy to get. I should know, as I used to use it as a "recreational" drug, along with other pharmaceuticals. GHB, MDMA, MDA, special K(ketamine), and designer drugs are all the rage in the club and rave scenes.

I know of a certain cocktail waitress at the Borgata that I wish would give me a date rape drug and take advantage of me. It hasn't happened yet but I can always hope for the best!
 
You were probably not drugged. Incidents like that are rarer than reported, because girls who OD on drugs and show up at the hospital will often claim they were drugged nonconsensually. You were probably fatigued and/or intoxicated by your own means. If you take prescription drugs consider the possibility of a side effect.

Also, people who commit crimes by drugging others do it in a place where they will actually be able to commit the crime. What would be the point of drugging you in a casino and having you pass out at the table or in the ladies room? But you can never discount the stupidity of a criminal and the possibility they wouldn't consider this.

MY QUESTION: Do you think I was ruffied or since this whole scene is new to me just disoriented? If I was ruffied, should I call the Casino to be on the lookout for the punks?

Gayle, it is important that you remember that you will be playing in an environment that attracts sleaze. you may have been roofied, or it might have been any number of other things that caused the temp mental erosion, including a 'micro-stroke'. zg

I doubt you have what I have but the symptoms indicated many very bad possibilities. If you are fair skinned with eyes that arent brown and fair well in the sun you are in the risk group for this very discriminatory and extremely rare form of cancer.

Its hard to imagine that your general body symptoms have an eye specific cause but its better to be safe than sorry.

:oHind-site and two days later, I agree. I cannot imagine someone being so stupid as to set someone up for a roll under so many cameras. I’m new to casinos and it is unusual for me to plop down so much money on a whim (heck, I won’t even pay retail when I shop). That combined with all the dings-and-lights and unusually diverse group of people probably had me a little disoriented. Then…. Concentrating so much on the cards that when I stood up to relax I had a hypoglycemic moment and I blew it out of proportion. Next time I will grab some crackers with that water. AND…. I’m paranoid enough that I will always drink from a screw-top water bottle unless I’m with someone.:o

Lol, hardly hot – more like unmemorable (not bad if you’re trying to blend in). I thought they were trying to get me stupid so they could over power me and take my money. I can be strong if you threaten my kids, but I’d fall down crying for a couple bucks… and it seemed like I just kept throwing money on that table so, who knows, maybe in my hypoglycemic mind, I assumed they though my pockets had no end. I didn’t flinch too badly when I kept loosing-and-loosing-and-loosing. Like I said the cards were crap up until the 4th hour of play.

I'm glad to hear that you are okay and nothing bad happened. It's a scary and freaky situation.
A couple of months ago I felt insecure traveling alone and ended up gettting myself pepper spray, a Ruger LCP and a taser. The taser I gave to my 18 yr old daughter to put in her purse instead of the metal ice cream scoop...lol
My other daughter also carries pepper spray plus you can buy it on Ebay for little or nothing.

In the 60's and 70's (maybe even now), they used to use date rape drug in Chicago in the pool rooms. It would make the player lose his entire bankroll, if in fact he was able to play at all. On rare occasion, I heard it killed a player or two.

Anything like that can easily kill you, especially if the person has also taken alcohol or another CNS depressant. The DA will have no mercy on you if you get caught drugging someone.

Anything that can make you pass out is potentially fatal, as a lot of drug and alcohol deaths come just from aspirating vomit.
