Yes, in the corporate world, one must avoid the term enemy. Of course there are people that would cut your throat given the chance. But, you still need to go to lunch with them, share drinks, etc., to find out what they’re up to. Information is power. Closing off paths to information is self-defeating.
Point taken. Hopefully his effort to do the same was artfully thwarted by you.

I'm almost ready to purchase a second copy because mine looks terrible. When I first received the book, I immediately removed the dust cover, thinking it would be a prudent move to preserve the collectible value of the book (dust covers are a crucial part of this equation) — the joke was on me! The thing has seen more time on the road than a long-haul trucker, and to say that it's been the victim of some normal wear-and-tear would be a generous understatement. Oh well, I didn't buy the damn thing to enhance my collection, I bought it to step up my game, and I have no complaints there.
Of course, as ZG cheerfully points out ad nauseam in any and every thread mentioning James Grosjean or ECAA, the casinos have all read the book, and thus all of my hours spent studying the material have been for naught! I hope Mr. Grosjean is happy with the massive $10K profit he must have made from this book (what a grifter, eh?), now that there are no more games to be played due to the loss of critical information to casino suits and surveillance personnel...
