personally I play for ~16-20 hours a week right now....but it's only 2 days (I have a casino "circuit" I travel)
 
hmm until my sabbatical (after my negative fluctuation) it was 3-4 days per week for almost two years. thats what i voted in as.
but my near future plans are for 1-2 days per week when i start playing again.
then later on probably years from now i'll probably go back to 3-4 days per week again.
 
I voted 5-7 times per week. If it isn't on the floor it is at my desk. If not there at home playing hand over hand logging it into spreadsheets.

From the looks of it, the question doesn't specify that the play has to happen in a casino. It could be online play, or just kitchen table practice. I'm guessing that's why the numbers are so high.

Hmm, well if we include home practice, I'd have to change my vote from 1-2 days a month to 5-7 days a week. :)

I think I sat at the kitchen table last night for a good 2 1/2 hours after the kids went to bed. I have almost as much fun doing that as I do sitting in a casino. I get to control the music, there's no smoke in my face, and the beer is cheaper. (sadly, no Vegas-esque free drinks at my casino - it costs one unit to get a beer! :))

I can also replenish my bankroll a little easier when it's a stack of reds from my poker chip set. I have a hard time buying anything with the winnings though.

My first year of serious full time play I played 360 out of 365 days including Christmas and other holidays. Now I probably average around 100 days a year.

you should have made the poll public.. i hate private polls, they are stupid.. i like to get an idea of who does and likes what on here.. im sure most people on here would tell you something like what their win rate is or where they play if you asked them, thus just make every poll public like i always do.. and dont be that paranoid baby talking about far fetched privacy issues (among other things)

Yep, I put in casino time. If It were to include practice time and casual play, the answer would have been 5-7 weeks a day :laugh: :laugh: :whip: :laugh:

You really have no clue. Funny how after Ken made your last poll private, people responded. Isn't it?

Are you really a casino employee putting on a stupid kid act? If so, you're really overdoing it.
 
My play varies. Sometimes I'll go 2-3 weeks without playing a single hand. Other times, I'll play practically every day in a 2-3 week period. It all depends on how busy I am with my primary job, my family, and my other hobbies.

I think a more meaningful number would be the number of hours played in a year. I'm on track to play 400-450 hours for CY2007.
 
A Girl named Juanita....

I am thinking that if you have a blackjack table at home and have a chick named Juanita dress up as a cocktail waitress to serve you drinks while you play you could likely count this as an added 10% of total time playing...but that's just my opinion!hahahaa
The only way to do this is to do it right. I play 3-5 days a week in Atlantic City but if I truly think about it I am focused on blackjack 24/7! I have a custom built table at home, along with the stuff on the computer, I flip through cards ranging from 2-6 decks doing drills for hours on end AND I am contemplating hiring on a girl named Juanita to dress up as a cocktail waitress to serve me drinks as I practice on my table in the den....
