its hilarious the advice this guy is getting.. if he listened to all of you this game would have a house edge of about .1% and a card counters dream.. if everybody is stupid and will make mistakes regardless, then why dont casinos in the usa offer early surrender, 80%+ penetration, etc

way to insult me with no explanation or proof.. if he kept the same rules he has now but did S17 and early surrender with 90% penetration, he may or may not lose money, but the point is, you guys seem to be selfishly giving him "advice".. i agree that surrender will make you money because ppl dont know when to use it, but it sounds like a small casino where a few card counters could make a big impact on the bottom line.. regardless, the guy above who said "add sidebets" had the best idea for making money and bringing in more ppl

i dont understand, what is everybody's problem? did i make all the counters in here mad? did i "blow it" and u guys "almost had him where u wanted him" so u cud go to his casino and make money? i dont get it, whats the big deal.. you offered your opinion, i offered mine.. am i not allowed to offer mine?.. i think some of you have seen some of my posts, and stereotype me as if you know me, and are bias against anything i say.. once you are not liked, you could say "murder is wrong" and ppl will argue you on it with no logic or explanation whatsoever, its just random insults left and right..

For starters, how about combining your all comments into one post, and not replying/quoting multiple times, one after the other, as you've done above and in many other threads. Are you trying to create a large post count, for some reason?

Your problem in this thread is that you failed to recognize the obvious sarcasm in most of the posts.

When you keep getting these random insults left and right, has it ever occurred to you that the problem might be you? It's generally bad practice to come into a forum and dig up year old threads and make four consecutive replies to them, coming off as a know it all about blackjack. It's also bad practice to make four consecutive replies in any thread, when you can do multi-quotes and have one reply.

You want to have something that gives you publicity and bring in traffic at the same time.
Answer is simple-T-Shirt and hat giveaways. Give your patrons a free hat for every ten or 15 BJs in a single day. Set the number high,but not so high that the average player won't try for them.At a full table,a player should get about 5 in two hours,so expect 4 hours worth of play to get one. Hopefully,some of them wear it to your competitor and people inquire about them.
As you are trying to turn people into walking billboards,don't go the cheap route on the hats. Always make sure that any promo you giveaway is something you yourself would wear,not a cheap POS.

If you haven't already,read and study the Guerilla Marketing series.
As a former small business owner,it saved me thousands in advertising and won me many new patrons.

Tlop, I hate to say it, but I don't think a message board of advantage players is the place to get advice on how fill a casino with civilian players.

My biggest general suggestions would be to ask: what type of "environment" are you trying to create in your casino, and what's the competition offering next door. If you casino is a small, intimate place, then you want small, intimate games. If you are going to whiz bang bright lights and loud noises to seperate fools from their money faster, just have attractive dealers wear bikinis (see: Rio bikini pit, hooter casino, Playboy club).

The other thing is your competition, you probably want to diferentiate. If they're also dealing shoe games of blackjack then you might consider switching to pitch games, either single or double decks. The rules probably don't have to be particularly generous, you're just trying to create a different feel and pace of the game. Downside of pitch games it they'd require a little more dealer skill.

Offering generous rules might work. But you'd probably need to advertise it, in a "bet blackjack in town" sort of way. You already offer surrender, which I agree is probably misplayed more than it's played. If you switched the rules to S17, then they would be pretty good rules, the only way to decrease your edge further would be reducing the decks, or offering "special" rules like six-card charlie, double on any three cards, or hit on split aces.

Comps and loyalty mailers might work well. Correction: it WILL work well (see Harrah's) If you take better care of your players than the big joint, it will probably be a great way to build loyalty.

so if i had 1 post that was super super long, that would somehow be better than 9 little posts? i dont think its a big deal, as its probably like 3 seconds more scrolling if i do it the way im doing it now.. and its not like im just responding to every1s posts with "lol" or "true" or other 1 word answers that are pointless.. but the way i do it is i respond as i read.. think about it, im not gonna read 50 posts, then go back and remember which ones i wanted to respond to, tag them all, then answer each one and put it on a huge post.. i read post A, respond, read post B, post C, post D, respond to D, etc.. thats how its supposed to be done

four consecutive replies is four consecutive replies, it doesnt matter if its 4 in 1 post or 1 in 4.. think about it.. and read my above post
 
Its a lot easier to ignore one posts than four.I log in and see a thread has 8 replies,only to see they are mostly yours. If it had only one reply and we saw it was from you,we could decide if its worth reading or not.

Every deck of cards comes with two jokers. Instead of always wasting the jokers, like most casinos, go ahead and shuffle them into the mix. This will increase the number of players at your tables.

so you want me to read 50 posts, then go back and go thru them all again, checking the ones i want to reply to? and im wasting 5 more minutes of my time why? so u can save 4 seconds of scrolling? u serious? btw, when i think "oh crap i forgot to add something" i always choose edit, i dont make a new post, but as far as quoting goes, i read A, reply to A, read B, reply to B, that would be weird if somebody went thru all the pages of a thread and then went back and checked all the ones he wanted to reply to; its about efficiency, and it is more efficient the way i currently do it, even if you include the "annoying" aspect of it.. u know what the problem is? i respond a lot, and there is no way to compact all of that regardless, if i respond to 9 ppl, its going to be long, so deal with it.. btw if its sooo much work for you and you dont have the 6 hours it takes to scroll 5% of a page, then ignore me since u dont like my posts anyways.. im really REALLY getting sick and tired of responding to flames.. i feel like im on a 12-18 forum not a 21+..

Why ask a question about the operation of a casino if you if already have one. I use the term loosely of course. If you run a so called small poker place and want to expand what's up. You state your clientale are ignorant and you come here for a better way to scam your customers?
