So with Casinos about to open in another week here in Las Vegas and this new rule of maximum 3 people to a table, I am wondering with an average dealer what the average HPU (hands per hour) will be? Anyone? Don? Beuller? Beuller?
 
HPU, funny!

I presume you'll be going right back, as you now have antibodies. Please report back on casino procedure, expecially how chips are handled.
 
KJ, just possibly you will be able to also keep a rough count of other tables by looking for reflections off the plexiglass.

Personally I am torn on it. They just don't know enough about this virus. Like, they don't know if antibodies really protect you against this virus as they do for most. And if they do offer some immunity for how long?

Also the casinos in general and tables games in particular, with everyone touching chips, cards and dice are probably about the worst place you can put yourself, even before this particular virus. As of yesterday CDC has reversed itself and said the virus isn't easily transferred via touching surfaces. Who knows what they will even be saying tomorrow or next week.

While I am NOT independently wealthy as one of the idiots on the hate forum keeps repeating for some reason, if it were just me, I probably would take some time off, like the rest of the year and see how things settle out. Especially since I am a little higher risk with my heart issues.

But, it is not just me. I live with my brother. And he makes his living in a casino. And I can't ask him to put his life on hold and take a year off. So yeah, I am going back and hope that antibodies offer me some protection and the Vegas heat (108 next week) kills this thing off, or maybe it is dying out naturally or whatever.

FWIW (probably nothing), I think you'll be fine and your antibodies will do their job.

IMO, outdoors isn't THAT big a problem, as dilution from the airflow and the UV from the sun is very strong this time of year. Indoors is the problem. I saw a blurb on TV news that NY MTA installed high power UV lights to disinfect the subway cars (when empty, of course).

Haha HPU...Eliott is not going to be happy with you.
But honestly...3 players can only improve the HPH over the usual crowded tables no? Who knows how all this will shake out...but fewer players sounds good to me.
And regarding your health...I would be a little bit cautious with your previous conditions. I will wear a mask in the casino, wash hands often, try not to touch my face etc. That seems pretty safe. But hey it's a free country still, I think.

Why do people keep saying this? This isn't a free country. Never has been. You can't just do whatever you want. You need a license to drive. You have to pay taxes. You can't assault someone. Etc.

There are rules. Some are in the Constitution. Some are in the US Code. Some are in state codes. Some are executive orders.

Thanks, I think I will be alright. There have been some positive developments with some things I was concerned about this week. Like it doesn't appear you can get the virus twice. There were a number of people both here in the US and South Korea that tested positive after recovering, but they don't really have the active virus and can't transmit it. They just have left over fragments that are still registering.

Also the CDC reversed itself this week, with fears the virus is easily transmitted on surfaces. This is good news for casinos and casino players with the cards, and chips, and dice and all.

So unrelated, I am reading on another forum that you are a female. I didn't know that and am not asking you to confirm or deny. Doesn't matter, I just didn't pick up on that, but I don't read everything on one of the forums you are on. Seems like more females in the BJ community and participating of late. That's a good thing. :)

If you don't like the current rules, do your part to vote out those who made them at the next election.

People get in trouble for honestly expressing their opinions. Freedom is overrated in this country.
