    Streaks

The losing streak may continue .... That's just my point! Long continuing losing streaks, where strings of big bets are repeatedly lost, one after the other, session after session, seemingly w/o end. That's the kind of thing that can wipe us out, financially and/or emotionally, no matter how...

    Streaks

I'm not trying to recognize streaks in advance, I'm simply avoiding them. As long as I continue playing, I know they WILL occur, whether I recognize them in advance or not. I understand, math-wise, that by not betting big in every pos situation, I'm not maximizing my edge. But I also know in...

    Streaks

ZG, your profundity overwhelms me! Seriously, how can profit suffer in long-run if you literally guarantee that you never, ever lose 2 big bets in a row? You're still taking full advantage of inevitable win streaks, but avoiding ALL losing streaks. Is this too simplistic? Where's the flaw? Mayor??

    Streaks

OK, I know what I'm about to suggest flies in the face of all the sound math underlying AP, BUT..... The thing that defeats most counters, psychologically and financially, is betting big into strong pos counts and still losing, hand after hand after hand. BJ is a game of streaks, and these...

    BJ v poker

bj/poker I guess my question could've been clearer. What I'm really looking for is a quantitative comparison. Which game gives a bigger edge to the pro player? Forget popularity, availabiity, heat, etc. In a hypothetical heat-free casino offering both poker and good bj whenever I want it, where...

    BJ v poker

Who has bigger edge, a proficient poker player (casino hold'em) or a proficient BJ counter (assume good game, no heat)? Given same starting bank, who makes more $ in long run?

    bet spread

For theoreticians out there, if you bet 0 in all neg counts (ie, min bet = 0), and spread appropriately into pos counts, is it fair to say your "bet spread" is infinite?

    reasonable bankroll

    thanks gotcha. Thanks again!

    reasonable bankroll

bankroll size? Thanks so much, Mr. Mayor! And what about bankroll size? Would 10K or so keep me going?

    reasonable bankroll

I'm going to play a good 6d game (.75 pen, surr, das, s17) spreading 10-100 (50 @ +2TC and 100 @3)). I'll be doing a semi-wong, playing virtually no neg cts, and little or no cover. What's a reasonable bankroll, and how much $/hr win can I expect? Thanks again!

    8 decks better?

8 decks Wow, I really started something here! Look, as I understand this business, you generally want fewer decks because you can get into higher counts faster -- BUT they're fleeting. With more decks, IF you wong into favorable counts, you can get many more hands played at a given table and...

    8 decks better?

Is an 8-deck game with favorable rules and .75 pen actually better for wonging in than a similar 6-deck game? Seems once pos count is established, you'll get many more hands to play from the longer shoe. Correct? Any sims on this?
