Updates? Any updates on blackjack and/or comps at Planet Holleywood since the HET takeover? My last promo offer from the old Planet Hollywood system expires April 30 and I haven't received any updated offers. My guess is that since I have no real record of play with Harrahs, no more offers...

FLASH, do you think there is any chance of this more merciful, non-permanent result for rated play? My assumption has been that if playing rated, any backoff will probably be recorded as a flag in the players club account, but perhaps you have some wisdom or experience that indicates differently?

Now that Harrah's has purchased Planet Hollywood, has anyone observed changes in their blackjack? I never found PH to be great before, but it was generally better than the Harrah's shops--I imagine that's now going to change (more 8 deck, fixed pen slots, more 6:5 single, if not multiple, deck...

Am I correct then that the best move following a rated backoff is to use the room offers (at least while they continue), but to play only unrated blackjack at MGM properties (or to play rated under a different account)?

If a player is backed off from blackjack at an MGM/Mirage property in Las Vegas while using a players' club card, is that account essentially useless at all MGM/Mirage properties for blackjack purposes? Are the negative effects limited only to the individual property where the backoff occurred...

Is Rubin's "Comp City" still considered the best source for a small roller to learn to take advantage of this, or are there newer/better books now available?

The 8 deck trays may not be cheaper in the short run, but in the long run it would allow them to switch from 6 to 8 decks without mounting new discard trays. Plus, there doesn't seem to be much down side to having a larger discard tray than is necessary.
