If you primarily play 1 and 2 deck games, you might want to learn the differences between H17 and S17 for hands of 14-17 vs A. Theres a reasonable difference in the indexes. Your index of+5 is for H17.
From my experience, on borderline plays, always stick with BS.
I just wanted to make a point, thats its important to note, not to be confused with dividing to the nearest 1/2 deck, and not by how many 1/2 decks are left, which may be the case of the OP.
For example a RC of +10 w/2 and a 1/2 decks left=TC +4
But a RC of +10 with 5 1/2 decks remaining=...
Qfit once mentioned, that the indexes related to each other. You may want to contact support, because he often doesnt give support on these messgage boards for personal reasons.
A couple of years ago i had a similiar situation for 88vX and come to find out it was because i was generating...
More than likely Thorps indexes were generated for single deck only. And as a side note, the indexes for H17 v S17 and DAS vs Ndas would make a noticeable difference as well for single deck. CVdata can do all this for you, btw.
Now before commenting on Thorps counts and the accuracy thereof, i...
Ace Side Count for Playing Purposes
This method is only valid with "Ace-reckoned" strategies (e.g. High-Low, Halves, Red Seven, Zen Count, and Revere Point Count.) Note: using an Ace SC for one of these strategies requires a different set of strategy tables. Few people use this technique these...
Certain counts have better efficiency for particular hands. And since we wong into postivie counts this count would seem almost ideal, because for "one" example would be when we split Tens at high(er) counts. Putting more emphasis on the Aces and Fives would prove better accuracy when splitting...
I really like this count, and actually ran some numbers on it awhile back. http://www.blackjackinfo.com/bb/showthread.php?t=13385.
For one, is was fairly simple to count(sorry qfit) since the X,2 X,3 X,4 & X,6 would off-set eachother. And second of all, it seemed to be an ideal count for...

Wouldnt worry about side counting aces, w/hi-lo since your just starting out. Your spread seems fine(but your strategy does not) at low limits. Unless your really short funded you need to be getting your maxbets out at around +4 with hi-lo. Of course around +8 is safer(wins less) but yields...
Oblivious is right. It's really not looked at( the pit eye's) from the disadvantage point, but rather the action your tossing around. I wouldnt be surprised if a 1:4 spread attracted less heat in an even money game, than a 1:20 6/5 8 decker would. Few know the real differences. I suppose being a...
I'll check with CV a little later for ya. Ho2 would still be a good choice, tho the aces may only be worth -1+ each. 6/5 DD is probably futile even with good rules. Heat and swings would be hazardous. However, extreme measures with a large BR could prove worthwhile.
Is there anyway to(you could) display the "overall average of %" for the 3 different number of indexes used, below the charts or something?
I find it interesting, that you have more pushes in high counts with the I18 than with full indexes.
I dont think that chart from QFIT, takes into account, PE and indices does it? Would be curious myself to see a comparison against a 2D with Ho2 full indices
Just a little note about doing this. Say for example, that you were to convert Ho2 into RPC, (A v 3,6) then you would need to use the RPC indices for those particular hands(XvX) A9v6 etc. Not that theres much difference with a L1 count/indices though.
