I'm not sure that he (Aponte) ever graduated. Abandoning a highly valuable technical degree opportunity in favor of humping blackjack courses seems like a massively -EV move to me!

Surprising that MIT lets these crooks get away with using their name in their promotions. If they are now branching off into credit card fraud things may change.

There are a bunch of operators out there who believe anyone with an interest in gaming is a potential fool with money waiting to have it taken from them. Rookie AP's are targets.

I looked into this and the website was pretty clear you would be charged the $99 right off the bat. While they might not tell you the course isn't designed for on-line play, did you ask about it before hand? They responded to my questions within 48 hours of me asking them.

Of course it is not for online play. NO counting courses or books are, and it's rare that anyone thinks of saying this. Can't think of any BJ book that says this on the cover.

There are two costs, the activation fee and the monthly fee. The monthly fee has a three-month trial period. It clearly says the activation fee will be charged. Can we be more careful before posting suggestions of fraud?

MIT did complain when they originally called it the MITBlackjackInstitute. They dropped MIT. But they can use the term MIT Blackjack Teams since that's what they're called in popular literature.

Aponte is no longer associated with BlackjackVT.

With the internet you can learn anything you have to teach for much cheaper if not for free!

I'm not entirely sure MIT's name is being used in the promotions. Is it being billed as "the MIT method" or "Blackjack Course taught by the MIT team"?

MIT can't do much about the latter, although they can certainly stop the former.
