Advantage vs the house when using Ill. 18 and Fab. 4

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what % advantage a CC gets just from using the Ill. 18 and Fab. 4 assuming a 6 deck, S17, DOA, no LS game with 75% penetration. I'm guessing it's about .4%

Depends on how much you spread and whether you play all or wong in/out.
 
Duh, sorry it was pretty late last night or umm early morning when I wrote that. Assume ill. 18 only lol

Yeah the house edge does seem quite high. It should be around -.43% for BS. But I'll just take the difference between the two numbers. Thanks.

You will never have an advantage, although you might shave a few hundredths off of the base EV.

The problem is that the I18 isn't very valuable if you don't ramp your bets - as a matter of fact, if you don't scale your bets and play all, the I18 changes dramatically - hard 12 vs. dealer 6 is now worth more than doubling hard 9 vs. 2, for instance.

The Illustrious 18 adds a significant win rate to card counting, but it doesn't work as a standalone strategy.
 
There is no playing strategy that will give you an edge over the house (for shoe games) when using a flat bet strategy. For Hi-Lo full indexes the EV gain is about 0.12% increase from BS.
Your advantage comes from spreading out your bets according to the true count.
