Las Vegas attorneys Bob Nersesian and Thea Sankiewicz have again won a case brought on behalf of a card counter in Las Vegas, battling the frequently over-zealous response against legal advantage play.
This time it was an incident in 2001 at the New Frontier, where a legal advantage player was illegally backroomed and detained. The jury awarded $110,000, a $10,000 increase over what the plaintiff asked. However, the judge removed the possibility of a punitive damage award.
