Thank you, Flash. After all these years, I just never got the hang of using a dictionary. Now I'll be able to incorporate a new word into my vocabulary :whip:

I got the impression he thought the fact that all AC rules are the same (except for S17 vs. H17, and the truly "bogus" 6:5 games) was bogus, and I wondered why...

I got the impression that folks (not here) seem to think that even S17/H17 was consistent, which I thought was bogus.

And I definitely won't be going this weekend. My girlfriend and I will be in DE for a week sometime next month, and we're thinking of making a day trip to AC then to practice BS "in the field".

I've always had good luck Sunday afternoons & evenings as well as weekdays during the day...maybe not on holiday weekends like this one though. Hell, they've got $5 craps tables in the early and mid-mornings too.

good luck

For the basic strategy player, the Borgata is your best bet hands down. Now that said, not to nitpick but there are differences besides that and the S17 rule between casinos. Some casinos such as the Borgata allow you to split to 4 hands. Most only allow you to do 3. Not that this should be a big concern because it is quite rare that you'd have a case where you'd split to 4 hands. I'm actually going to AC tomorrow but mostly to play poker.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I'm probably going to AC tomorrow, but not sure which casino yet. If anyone is around and wants to meet up let me know.

Thanks again

It's very hard to get a seat at the $5 table at the Borgata unless you stop by weekdays in the early am. Resort's 6 deckers are at the $25 level and so are the Tropicana's. You may if you're lucky, be able to find some at Trump Plaza for $15.

Of course the Trump Plaza $15 SIX Deckers are with the dealers hitting S17 and 67% pen'

NOT recommended.

Please pardon the understatement.

Borgata

Weekdays and early AM on weekends most of the casinos have $10 tables. Borgata does have one $5 table all the time. If you go into Borgata from the self-parking garage and through the stores into the casino then turn left once you enter the casino area. Stay to the outside walkway. Once you make it around the corner you will see a small pit to your right. It is at the short table there. (there are 4 pits at Borgata that offer blackjack and only this pit that offers real low limits)
Thanks for the info Preacher. I went down there Thursday afternoon and had a great time. I never did get a seat at the $5 table, but I had a seat at a $10 table all day. I was there till about 4am and that pit stayed the same all day and night. One $5 table and two $10 tables, but they were all 8 deck. At one point I wanted to check out the other pits and there were still some $10 tables over there. I got a seat at one that was 6 deck. I stayed there till they bumped it to $15 which was around 7pm. When I sat down at that table I cashed in for $200 and gave the pit boss my player card, but she didn't give it right back. After a couple of minutes I asked her if she still had it and she said yes, but still didn't give it back. I finally got it back about ten minutes later. That was the first time a pit boss held my card for so long, does that mean anything?
Another thing, they wouldn't give me a free room even though I've been there all day playing. I really thought I was going to get a room for free, but the best they were going to do was give it to me for $149. Which is why I ended up driving home at 4am

Flash, the last time I went, it was S17 not H17. I agree with you though that the penetration sucks not to mention it's NMSE

You're correct, Thunder. The 6D games at Trump Plaza are S17, unless they've changed in in the last 2 hours

Hi Captain. You're welcome.

I wouldn't read too much in them keeping your card. I've seen them take mine, lay it down next to the computer or put it in their pocket, then talk to a friend forever before they finally register it. I think they are just a little more layed back than the other places in AC that I play.

As far as getting a room comp, good luck. The only comped room I have ever gotten in AC is at Trump Plaza and that is from a coupon book they send out monthly and I registered for the room before I got there.

Glad to hear you had a great time.

That is my experience as well...of course, the offer I receive is monthly and is good as often as I want it for any night but Saturday. Works for me, I guess

good luck :joker:

I've gotten comped rooms at every joint in AC practically. You just have to play there a few times for a few hours each time. Then you'll notice the offers coming in the mail.

I really only frequent about 3, and I absolutely agree with you, the offers come in monthly and include some postcard deals as well. AC is good like that. It's just funny how the "comps" at the table are weak compared to what is sent in the mail, but I understand the difference between the marketing promotions (what I get) and the on-site comps: different groups within the same organization.

good luck
