My dad insists they got busted for stacking the
decks with extra 5's a couple years ago.

And the shoes stayed positive counts every time.

Any merit to this? I can't find it online anywhere.

Not quite true. Apparently they wanted to do this but couldn't find any extra 5's so they simply cut some 10's in half. These became known as Bobbit decks.

I heard same, but I have NO confirmation.

My default re: casino cheating is that if it refers to an Indian Casino there is a good chance that it is true; but if it isn't a tribal enterprise, it is doubtful in most cases.

Incidentally, casinos that deal H17 games will cheat you more effectively by adding FOURS (4's) , not FIVES (5's); because that not only falsely inflates the True Count, but it aids their dealers in converting SOFT 17's into 21's.

I heard they were adding 10's to throw off counters by keeping the RC negative.

They have been busted many times for removing cards.

Probably the worst place or one of the worst in the Midwest.

Nice building but games poor.:(

The subject of casino cheating was brought up while playing at my local casino and the dealer commented that Soaring Eagle got busted for removing aces out of the deck.

Doesn't soaring eagle have state gaming agents on premise? I found out recently that certain tribal casinos do in fact have them because I saw them with my own eyes. Is it not regulation to have them there or am I mistaken once again?

Yeah, they have an office in there. But it's the TRIBE'S agency.

If a casino were to add 10's to the deck, it WOULD throw off card counters (one out of a thousand customers, maybe?), but it would reduce the house advantage to the other 999 customers. If they were to add ENOUGH 10's, all BS players and some of the ploppies would actually be playing with an advantage.

I can't believe I actually have to say this: That was not a serious post! Just for the record posts 2 and 3 are not to be taken seriously either.
