Keep in mind that a negative casino advantage is a positive player advantage.chessplayer said:For the 4deck with Rules DSOS17, DAS, Early surrecder , no peek and Double on ONLY 9, 10 and 11, The engine generated a casino advantage of -0.04.
However, when you are allowed more freedom and can double any cards, somehow the casino advantage increases to -0.14
First, a little terminology lesson: If the dealer Hits soft 17, we call it H17. If the dealer Stands on soft 17, we call it S17. So your “DSOS17” would just be “S17”.chessplayer said:For the 4deck with Rules DSOS17, DAS, Early surrecder , no peek and Double on ONLY 9, 10 and 11,...
...for the surrender it is allowed for 10s but not for ACE.
Not right off hand, but...chessplayer said:You know of anywhere where it lists the casino edge for this set of rules plus 4 decks etc.

With the rules you mentioned, and guessing at the rules you didn’t mention*, using k_c’s tdca program I get a house advantage of 0.4695%.
*I assumed splitting to four hands, but splitting aces to only two hands, and that you can’t surrender against 2-9.
I've never played versus ENHC (no peek) rules but from what I understand if late surrender is allowed and a player decides to surrender then a lammer is placed with his hand and he forfeits ability to draw cards. If dealer subsequently has blackjack, player loses entire bet, otherwise player loses 50% of bet.chessplayer said:0.47%. Wow, that high!? The rules are 4 decks, No peek no hole card, S17, Early surrender available for Dealer's 9 and 10, DAS available, Double on 9,10 and 11 only, Splitting till there are three hands and ACE asplit only once and draws only one card. No 5 card Charlie.

In the engine I am confused about certain things, though it does not affect me with the ruleset above. If there is late surrender, the casino advantage changes depending on whether dealer peeks or no. However, is it not the case where if late surrender is allowed the dealer MUSt have peeked? I cannot seem to understand this.s
