Best Buffets in Vegas?

Went to the Wynn Buffet. Quite impressed! Veal short ribs, coconut mango salmon, nice cocktail menu, nice decor. Any other impressive places that won't disappoint? I've heard negative things about Aria's buffet and M. not worth the price, not on par with the level of the casino, etc, etc.

I like the Rio myself, even though its a shadow of its former self. I've heard good things about South Pointe.
In Laughlin, I love The Edgewater, esp on Fri nite Seafood night. Skip the Trop buffet unless it's comped.

Jack, I disagree with your source's opinion of the Studio B buffet at the M. The quality is great and the variety is unmatched. Unlike many others, it includes wine and beer. I always go comped, so I'm not aware of the price, but I think it's on the level of the Wynn or better, is probably reasonably priced for what you get, and is my favorite. I also like GVR and Mirage, and I think the buffet at the Palms, while not at the level of the M or GVR or Wynn, gets a bad rap.

Let's backtrack a little, why are you guys paying for buffets? Didn't you guys read Comp City? I haven't paid for a buffet since like 2006!

Just to set the record straight, I've never paid for buffets (or rooms), including Aria's overpriced one. I got it as a comp with the free room. I just mentioned the price reference in case someone was paying for it.

I found the Aria buffet to be OK, but the Wynn was spectacular. The latter may be pricier - don't remember - but my recollection is that it was by far the better value.

I'm a little paranoid about getting backed off.

The Mirage has a great buffet. The Rio's is also good but not as good as everyone says.

I would stay away from the MGM and Paris buffets.
Do you know Rio has two buffets? The good one is Village Seafood Buffet. Their feature item is lobster tails. Last year when I visited, it was $37 a person. The cheaper one, World of Buffet, is not as good.

I greatly prefer the World Buffet over the Seafood Buffet, but I'm not a huge seafood person. WB is very good, but as I said, a mere shadow of its former greatness. Get there just before 3:30 and you pay the lunch price, but get the dinner extras as they come on line at 3:45.

M Resort and Mandalay Bay are two of my favorites. IMHO, I'd say they are a few steps up from the Rio world buffet but similar in the wide array of choices.

I just never seem to feel as if i get my dollars worth in a buffet.......No matter how good they are :) Of course if they are comped........i will eat them....but much prefer a restaurant.......less people ...less crowded...Get the food like i want it.... But this is just me....

Must be hard to maneuver around the buffet with your wheelchair...
