Best Country to Play Blackjack

Just wondering what everyone's opinion is on which country is the best to play blackjack in?

I know being a professional gambler in Australia has its advantages as all gambling wins (even if your a card counter) is completely tax free, although the downside is there is not many casinos here that offer quality blackjack games with each casinos competition being more then 120kms away.

This therefore prompts me the question of "if you were to move to another country and based your decisions solely on the casino, blackjack and governments stance on gambling tax, tax and online gambling of that country, which country would be the card counters heaven?"

Well i am thinking maybe the UK?

I think the obvious answer here is the US. WAY more casinos than any other country and more opportunities in a variety of games. You still have to pay taxes on gambling winning but hey you cant have it all! If you gamble online, your best bet is any country EXCEPT the US because of the threat of legislation completely shutting the US off to online gambling.

Not to mention CSMs haven't caught on here for the most part. Fortunately they would be against the gambling compact in my state.

Depends what your take on the game is. You won't find any single or double deck games here, only 4 and 6 deck shoes (where they're not CSMs) - so that, combined with the ENHC ruleset giving a OTT HE of around 0.65%, on the surface it doesn't look too promising. But giving the fact it's possible to play with large spreads, at many places the shuffles are very basic, and there's virtually no heat in the way it appears there is in the States (where it's possible to be barred for being a proficient player at a $5 table), I think there's more potential than it would first seem.

The downside is that most of the regional casinos are owned by just a few licensees, (some brands using CSMs exclusively), so if you do get busted you're toast.

The distance between casinos is also more bearable than in Oz or perhaps the US?

As an afterthought, most professional gamblers in the UK do the GGs, dogs or play poker.

I would have to agree.. the games are usually better and there must be well over 1000 Casinos (counting riverboats, slot parlors, bingo halls, etc).

BTW. . Took me a second on the Sovereign Nation thing too.. I thought he meant the CSA. :)

I don't know - I think I always wished I was a Canadian citizen when playing in Canada as, the way I understand it, gambling winnings are not taxable to a Canadian citizen.

Is that true?

Same in the UK. We now have a slot arcade on every high street and most pubs and bars now have gaming machines that offer variations on BJ and Poker in addition to other games of chance based on gameshows off the telly. And then there's all that stuff online of course and a fixed odds betting terminal in every high street betting shop. Gamblers paradise really. . .

Oh, and we don't pay tax on gambling winnings over here either (although Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs may take a view if said winnings represented someone's main source of income and was the result of 16+ hours a week being devoted to it).

It's tax free in australia too regardless of being a counter or not as there was some counter in australia who was taken to court by the ATO (Australian Tax Office) but the counter won the case effectively cementing the fact we can card count and not have to worry about tax at all.

In terms of places to gamble australia like Britain has gambling available just about all over australia, we have pokie (slot) machines, keno and sports betting (TAB) in every single pub and club in australia and in sydney you can add roulette and blackjack machines to every single rsl and footy club, Poker (through the apl) in just about every single town in australia as well,and all thats not including all the scratchies and lottery at newsagents and stand alone sports betting stores.That's all before you even get to a casino_Oh and one day a year on April 25th (ANZAC day) nearly everyone in australia goes to the local pub or club and bet crazy amounts of money on 2up.

LOL having said all that you can really only play at the casino if you want to play any game where your going to have any sort of a real advantage.

It all depends on how one defines "Best"

If "best" is high stakes and low heat then there are spots all over Eastern Europe that win hands down.

What good are good games that offer what you are looking for but where cheating is a distinct possibility ?

What good are good games that offer what you are looking for but where being robbed is a less than remote possibility ?

Also, what good are good games that offer deep penetration when the H.A. is slim if you cannot bet green and up ?

Per hour, those games work out to little more than minimum wage.

OP said he was a professional gambler so i assumed he was looking for great games in the sense that they were beatable not necessarily comp-whoreable.
