HI everyone!!

I have read Blackjack Bluebook II, what do you think of "The Rule of 45", the "Doctor Pepper Rule" and of the "Magnificent 7 Blackjack Hands"?
Are they only accurate for the BS or can use them while counting cards (I am currently learning the Ben Franklin count strategy).

thanks for your answers

The rules in BB II that Fred Renzey has published are all quite mathematically solid without doubt. They were designed for the BS player to "enhance" his game and therefore lower his expected negative edge. They, however are not a substitute for card counting which takes precedent over any BS play. They also have much more value for the SD and DD games versus shoe play.
Glad to see you're involving yourself with the BF Count. Pretty simple betting sequences, no? The toughest thing is learning the tags, but practice takes care of that.

blue book II is essential to any aspiring counter's library....

i'm still learning things from that book to this day...

all the things Fred talks about are true, real and verified and his explanations of the math and reasoning are so straight forward.

thanks for your answers, it's what I thought but I wanted be sure of it.

The BF count makes sense, and seems to be much more accurate than the strategy I used.

Don't worry about the practice, I will work and work again until I play my hands perfectly.

thanks again for your answers

au revoir

Anto -- BJ Bob gave it to you straight. Think of it this way. There are four basic levels of hand analysis.

1) Basic Strategy
2) Hand Composition
3) Board Condition
4) Card Counting

Each successive level overrides the last, because it knows more about the remaining cards than all of its forerunners.
