Borgata has gotten rid of their 6 deckers in favor of 8 deckers, this isnt news, but its recent.

The trop has shifted to H17 on every table I saw, and man tables are no longer 6 deck as they were before. Take note, that they sometimes use 6 deck games dealt into 8 deck trays...but it appears to be a thing of the past.

Heres a good one....I was at WWW, walking through it and noticed a new table games area being set up where the sports area was by the overhead railroad thing next to the bathrooms, it was roped off....so i hopped the ropes to investigate....
...in a harrahs property...
While they werent open...there were S17 felts on the tables...sooooo s17 felts on tables in a harrahs property...now they just need to start dealing on them and we will be good.

IDK how long this has been going on for, but the "ridge" as its now dubbed is doing drawings where you get free hotel rooms and gift cards. You earn tickets everytime you get a blackjack it made blackjack much more fun, and I scored a 50 dollar gift card off it.

Unless I'm mistaken, Borgata still has 6 decks in the pits next to the high-limit area. Those pits are $25 and up.
What do you mean by "man tables ..."?

Trop still has 6d right out side of the HL room

All H17 though.

I hate to disappoint you but this will most likely be a high limit area that they are installing.

While it is true that WWW has NO High Limit pit, there is also no apparent demand for same.

The (attached) Caesars & Ballys have High Limit pits that are bigger than needed.

I will be there this week and I will scout this situation, and report back this weekend.

Do you mean the area where they bet on horses?

They are removing the horse betting area and are going to build a country and western stage with live entertainment.

I always thought the East Coast BJ player was smarter than to play the monstrosity of 8 deck Hit 17.
I was wrong.
They'll never get me.
I used to think that way too. Avoided games both in AC and vegas that were H17. Lately I have been playing some deeply dealt H17 games (mostly 6 deck but some 8 deck as well) that are far better than their S17 counterpart with standard 75% pen. It's better to evaluate each game individually, by pen, rules, decks, number of players, proximity and availability of nearby games for table hopping. Especially penetration. Good penetration can overcome many things.

Thats what she said. But yea, I like it when it's deep. I make more money when there is strong penetration involved.

PS: I agree with KJ's evaluation of games. I never just look at the rules/pen. When evaluating a game, everything has to be considered when trying to maximize your gain. As KJ pointed out, speed is a huge factor in the win rate of a game. A game with a SCORE of 75 is equal (in WR) to a game with a SCORE of 50 that is playing 50% faster than the "better" game.

At W.W.W. they are setting up a new bar which is going to feature bikini-clad dealers and beer-pong. Blackjack in such a milieu are always offered with poor rules and pen' … to offset their extra expense in drawing young testosterone-driven drunkards.

A while back I was playing 3CP in just such a pit. It was very useful- my gyrations to "get a peek" could be construed as just me ogling the dealer.

It is the one situation in which I was disappointed when she showed me her pair.

I am hating these games with all the distractions more and more. At my age, it's all I can do to not fall asleep at the table, let alone fade all the noise and motion, chats with the PCs and players, and still keep the count in spite of my early onset Alzheimers! lol I bet you think I'm kidding...not entirely...it's getting worse each day. lol

did that pit with S17 at W.W.W. open? If so what do they use it for?

I saw them installing it but moved away from the east coast before I could go back and see what it was.

They should be giving even better pen to make more money to overcome the costs of the bikini clad dealers. Poor rules i can see but giving better pen=more money for casino.
