15th is hard or soft?
Opens for good, Wednesday, Dec 15, 8pm, to the best of my knowledge. There was no soft opening that some locations have that I was aware of.

HL is 6D hand shuffle 1.25 co. Saw 500/10,000 and 5,000/10,000. All tables, 2, 6 & 8d have a notch. All tables H17.

Sea of silicone tonight. I also saw Chris Ferguson walking around.

Played some $50 DD; it's as Ferretnparrot reported. Saw single deck 6:5 and 8-deck shoes that were H17 and 3:2. Minimums in salon started at $500 and went up to $5000 (and were still H17). Staff all appeared very experienced and I didn't see any obvious lacks in security, protocol, etc.

Go down the strip, s17, DAS, $25 min.
I mean, yeah you can get the same game S17. But I don't consider that game BAD. BAD is D10 with 50% pen.

No liberal rules for $25 per hand? (I'm a $50 bettor but I consider it a matter of principle to offer liberal rules for $25 dollars a hand... after some more inflation I'd be willing to tolerate liberal rules for $50 in a casino but STILL)...

NO S17 IN THE ENTIRE CASINO?!?!?!? [RAAAAAGE!!!]

I've also heard that Cosmo has bad video poker too...

This is very unfortunate. Cosmo seemed from all the pre-release stuff to be, basically, Aria's quirky, indie, experimental younger sister. However it seems their casino policies are ripped out of Harrah's playbook.

People call Aria and Bellagio pretentious (personally, I think Bellagio is more pretentious than Aria), but they at least have games for red-chippers. Yes, they're CSM dealt but at least it means $5 and $10 bettors (I think Aria is $10 and $15 only though) can come in, play a game, get a free cocktail and have some fun.

OKAY, now I've cooled down a bit...
1) Opening night is always packed, so its possible they were having worse-than-usual conditions to fleece the dumb crowd. Perhaps being wedged between two casinos with better conditions will force them to play nice and introduce liberal rules to high limit players at least. Although honestly, they should offer a good game to the mid market as well.

2) Questions I need to ask;

-Did they offer RSA? If they're doing H17 8d, they should have RSA offered too.

-Was the 8d game hand-shuffled or ASM shuffled?

How big was the casino?
Aria is big, in terms of Blackjack action.
Wynn is big.
Did Cosmopolitan have lots and lots of tables?
I sometimes like to wander and table hop.
Was there a direct walkway that connects Cosmopolitan to Aria & Bellagio?
